Karachi Stock Exchange was in the top 5 best performing stock exchanges of the world for the last half a decade or something and then Nawazo and his friends got the brilliant idea of combining all the stock exchanges so that they could also dip their fingers in the pot of gold.

There is discrimination against KPK, Balochistan, the rest of Sindh not only Karachi.

I used to think it was a racist thing too where one ethnicity wanted to keep others down. I realized it is not, it is all about greed and corruption which our entire country is infected with.

Obviously right now Karachi folks get to point out the city contributing 60% in tax revenue and having a high performing stock exchange multiple size of the stock exchanges in rest of the country put together. And that despite all this Karachi is not even treated as part of the country by the Punjab leaning federal government which says things like 'Karachi people dying due to heat and electricity crisis should have some sharam before complaining and criticising the federal government.'

However Ofcourse these shameless beghairat people are all too happy to collect money from the city and run the whole country with it because this is their nature. So to counter this their solution is to merge all stock exchanges in the country (which Karachi forms more than 4/5ths) and then say look it's not Karachi contributing it's the whole country


At a time when they should be aiming that other centres get to Karachis level their solution is just to merge this

But atleast with KPK, interior Sindh etc they aren't being that beghairat that they collect majority tax revenue from there and then disappear. Balochistan too has suffered a lot where it's gas resources have been used freely

They recently partnered with a foreign firm. Expect their share prices to go up slightly. But i think that phase has already happened.

Nissan's share growth would depend on how they are received by the Pakistani market after their re-entry.

Don't confuse law and order situation with Karachi's strong economic base. Yes, Karachi can self sustain itself because it is industrialized, has strong private sector with educated population. The other two provinces are war ragged, rural with low literacy rate, so their province's livelihood depends on gas and water royalties they receive from the centre.

Yes cannot wait for Gawadar to start running and become successful, and I hope most of wealth generated by Gawadar gets spent on Balochistan.

Well Gwadar is in Balochistan, a province that has long been asking for a more fair share. So it would not be a new concept.

obviously, it was a simple analogy to explain it to you! But most companies enlisted are from karachi city and have headquarters in the city. Nawaz trying to disrupt the financial hub with this tinkering, karach is a big city has its own identity in financial world doesnt need pseudo support of other non existing exchanges

I dont think gawadar will overshadow karachi in 100yrs, even if it does good for Balochistan. They are one of the most deprived place, i would personally ask for their share from greedy federal government.
