Pakistan U19s win 3-match Youth ODI series against Australia U19s by 2-0 margin

Australian commentators have given up hope of the Aus team chasing the target down.

They were saying that the team should be aiming for 230-240 after 50 overs. WTH.

Wow really, why would they only include a solitary player in the squad before WC?
Sutherland was only included as he was coming back from an injury and missed the U-19 domestic OD comp.

In terms of match practise for the WC squad they play a friendly against each other (and a few members of the squad against Pakistan) in the form of the Gilchrist v Ponting XI.

Really poor bowling against a local team which has only 1 international player.

At the game at the moment, credit to Pakistan this Australian squad is not a bunch of local kids - some very talented players.. deck is flat though but spinners doing well.

Sallu (Suliman) is the pick of the bowlers today and Arshad Iqbal looks very solid.

Ali is quite short, similar to Bhatti ; has a huge run up and runs in as hard as Hasan ali

Hackney is on 103* batting well, Pakistan should bring this home before heading to NZ tonight

Thanks for sharing.

Whats your opinion on Shaheen S. Afridi?

Doesn't look like he is bowling to his 100% ability, probably doesn't want to injure himself before World Cup - lot of these young kids have been selected for PSL, been chatting with the head coach (Nadeem)

Shaheen will play for LQ - I think he will get a chance to perform ; he should play well in NZ (getting nice movement) - I'm more impressed by Arshad Iqbal (very Mohammad Abbas-esque)

Very Muhammad Abbas esque? How is that a compliment? Abbass is a trundler with hardly any skill set, is in the team because of poor quality of fast bowling talent.

Wow one of the best catches by Saad Khan you can see at any level let alone U19.

Another convincing victory for Pak U19s in the lead up to the ICC U19 World Cup as they defeat Aus U19s by 49 runs in the final Youth ODI; Suleman Shafqat takes 3/53 whilst Shaheen Shah Afridi took 2/38; Scores : Pak U19s 309/7 (50 ov), Aus U19s 260/9 (50 ov) #AUSU19VSPAKU19

Wonder if Sethi is aware it was a very weak Australian side put out.

i meant from an action and height perspective, if he was like him from a "skills" perspective would he be in the team? The guys quality and should be watched closely over the next few years

The highlights for me were the spectacular catch by Saad and the runout by Rohail. If you missed watching these try catching them. Was disappointed in the way Hasan Khan bowled and particularly the fact that he again overbowled himself. At the end it seemed that he was trying to improve his figures by bowling to the tail. He almost did get a wicket but even number 11 was playing him easily. Iqbal still had two overs left and should have been bowling at the death. Hasan does seem to have good all-round skills. Needs to show greater msaturity as captain.

I dont anything special with his bowling. From i have seen the PK spinners are very average.

Shafqat alone impressed me. Hasan seems to have little variety and bowls poor lines especially to left handers. Asif is too predictable and too flat. Seemed to at least keep left-handed batsmen relatively quiet.

Do you have highlights for the 3rd OD match?

I have checked YouTube but couldn't find it.

Most of these Australian guys are in the U19 world cup squad I believe.
