Easy to be insensitive and laugh at Afghanis for their age-fudging, but it’s a consequence of belonging to a war-torn country. Opportunities don’t come easy for them they often get to knock on the right doors very late in life.

Whether they are in their 40s or 50s, the fact that they have reached this platform is testament to their character and resilience.

On the other hand, Pakistan with 200m population and second biggest market in the game, as well 13 times higher GDP than Afghanistan is shamelessly sitting at 6th and 7th in ODIs and Tests and take pride in it.

I have always given the benefit of the doubt to Afghans, but the hostile statements coming from their rotten govt followed by their unprovoked violence at the venue has seen my patience run out.
