Pakistan v Afghanistan | Match 36, World Cup | Leeds | 29th June, 2019 | Afghanistan innings

With a ball flying to fine leg with Wahab bowling in the world cup, and Amir in the field no less, EVERYONE was surprised he caught that.

The commentators haven't once explained fully how the fielding stat works, yet place great importance on it. What a load of rubbish analysis.

Would be nice if we won this game with 10 wickets in hand but knowing Pakistan I doubt we’ll see that.

This Afghanistan team can actually beat any team on spinning wickets.

Don't underrate them just because of one freak Morgan innings on a road.

Mujeeb, Nabi, Rashid, all have low economies, good variations. Hamid Hasan is also a good fast bowler.

That is 40 overs of good bowling right there, that's why anything above 200 will become tough

Easy to be insensitive and laugh at Afghanis for their age-fudging, but it’s a consequence of belonging to a war-torn country. Opportunities don’t come easy for them they often get to knock on the right doors very late in life.

Whether they are in their 40s or 50s, the fact that they have reached this platform is testament to their character and resilience.

On the other hand, Pakistan with 200m population and second biggest market in the game, as well 13 times higher GDP than Afghanistan is shamelessly sitting at 6th and 7th in ODIs and Tests and take pride in it.

I have always given the benefit of the doubt to Afghans, but the hostile statements coming from their rotten govt followed by their unprovoked violence at the venue has seen my patience run out. Lucky for us that the Pakistan fans didn't go to the ground with a similar mindset or there could have been serious trouble at Headingley.

They'll still get a decent total if they don't get bowled out here. Would be difficult to win with 10 wickets with the turn on this pitch.

No point in bowling Imad, should either ball shadab or pacers from this end

Disagree.

They lost every single game. 7 losses. They can only defeat Zimbabwe, associates, Ireland, and occasionally BD.

Afghanistani fans are the best, always graceful and not in your face type, they deserve one win in this World Cup, hopefully against Windies

I think if there wouldnt have been 10 overs restriction Sarfaraz might have kept Imad bowling. :smith

Bro, thats why I said spinning wickets, they are real tigers on dustbowls, would have eaten the Kiwis alive in that pitch and knocked them all out for 45 runs.

Afg on track to get 235+ and on a slow tricky wicket like this it will be a really tough total against their spinners...

Game is in balance at the moment with a slight edge to Afg...

Slight edge to Afg??
Not according to Google and all the other win predictors. It 85-15 to pak

Shadab has exceeded my expectations in bowling well considering relatively long time off and illness.

If we lose then this will be the most depressing loss I have to take in.

We had such a good chance to make the semis after decimating the Saffers and Kiwis, then to bundle against these Afghani spinners.

Allah maf karo

Slowly and steadily Afghans giving their bowlers something to bowl at

I agree massively.

Imad barely spins the ball, imagine Shoaib bowling here.

Moreover, Shoaib is our best player of spin and Afghan has 30-40 overs of spin.

Yeah if we were still in 2007...Rashid made Malik look like a school boy in the warm up match...

Ball is reversing. Afghans are stronger against spin, but Sarfraz asks Shadab to bowl
