Guys, just need one partnership of 70 runs or more and we are all set to win this match.

From what I am reading on cricinfo, aussie pacemen are getting much more movement that than pakistanis. Is that true?

For sure, huge difference there.
Akhtar and Gul rarely beat the bat in first 10 overs and our batsman can rarely touch the ball so far.

Younis's boundary was just a slog.
Both Aussie bowlers swinging a LOT.

Having seen him befiore I dont think he has ever been fit :)

Seriously though, he may have hurt himself in the field.

tricky period hire for Pak before the lunch break

Lunch break? What lunch break?

Keeper standing up to the new ball bowler :))) how lame.

Thankfully Akmal is too crap to stand up to even Tanvir at 120ks.

It is bound to move early in the 2nd innings under lights.

Yep. I never watched the start of the Pakistani bowling. But the Aussies are definetly swinging it.

I'm guessing that Akhtar and Gul are more quicker in terms of pace then Bracken or Hilfenhaus who are natural swingers of the ball. I'd say Akhtar and Gul rely less on swing.

Pakistanis need to calm down. I know its important game but they need to show some nerves here

So far it's true. Except the fact that Pakistani fast bowlers have never swung and neither bowled in right line/length.

Pakistan need to just be nice and solid here, no daft shots and no run outs please!

Ball usualyy moves a bit under light. Have to play out few overs

injury? than why is he in the side? ( nasir jamshed )
Probably got injured while fielding. I'm not watching the match so I don't know how long he was in the field.

i think when pakistani bowlers were bowling, sun was shining and it was really hot in the middle and now its cooling down or atleast no sun in the middle

Classic shot off back foot for four by Akmal and its no ball as well!!!!!!! free hittt

Akmal hits another 4 off free hit

That's beautiful batting by Akmal :)

Younis is too nice too the Australians. Dont know why.

He is always kind no matter who he plays. I think it was against India when he ran for a quick single and the throw came in. The ball hit Younus Khan and went towards the boundary. Younus being the good gentleman he is chased the ball towards the boundard and retrieved it.

Two boundaries for Kamran Akmal

finally a gud over I know the target isn't that high or something but still we shouldn't take 50 overs to make that total maximum of 30 overs should be enough

I can't believe I'm missing this match. I have to sneak into the library between classes to catch up on everything.

Hello everybody!!!! :)
Wow Afridi, you just killed Australia. Good times are back! I know We will win this game!!! Mr Younis Khan will lead this team to victories and victories only!

This might be the last or 2nd last over before lunch break.Or dinner break.

i dont think there is any batter in the pakistani team who is as proficient in cover drives and cuts than akmal presently

spot on - hitting through the off side whether its the drive or the cut is his strength.

Cant be easy for him either having to open after keeping for 35 plus overs in the heat.

Last over before the break and Younis looking much more comfortable against Hopes.

No runs so far in the over 21/1

Younis cuts dangerously and gets a cheeky boundary but a stupid shot when slip was in place, just short of slip.
Why would you open the face of bat and play such a shot????

1/25 off 7 overs.

'Lunch'

Pak 25-1 off 7 overs

144 runs required to win

Seriously .. YK is like a fish out of water at #3 in ODIs.

That spot has to go to Malik.

Pakistan require another 144 runs with 9 wickets and 43.0 overs remaining at the Required run rate of 3.34 after the break.

Pakistan off to a solid start, YK needs to cut out the glide shot and play through the "V"

Hopefully pakistan will win this!

Loose Talk on ARY. Can't they show something else. Anyone know how long the break is for.

I have been noticing this for a while now. After Asif left, no other pakistani bowlers were able to get much movement, with the new or the old ball.

THis is why I want waqar younis as the bowling coach. He knew how to swing it at pace. Ye,s pakistani bowlers are quicker than the aussies, but to swing the ball at pace is an art, which unfortunately our bowlers seem to have lost

Its a terrible programme - both are way past it.

But thats ARY for you!

Once again the policy of 'regular specialist' openers we so love to harp about failed. It is time to throw away the policy of two specialist openers and play one regular opener along with Afridi, Malik or Akmal depending on the situation.

Yep. I can see that they kept with missing the first ball. Anyway I'm just glad they showed the matches. :)
