Only if the top orders haven't messed up, then Misbah would have helped to finish the chasing target by now. It's hard to build inning while knowing that if he goes, the whole team goes as well.

Why pakistani batsmen move around the crease.

One thing I have noticed in last few years is that our batsmen dont stand still at the crease I understand one needs good foot work but too much moving around does not do any good.
I have seen misbah fawad alam and khalid latif do it quite often hence they struggle with off side stroke play.If you look at indian kids they keep still and they are better players for it. i.e sharma raina yuvi sehwag gambhir.Is it down to coaching or something els.Kami stands still and hr is our best off side player.
 
Misbah, is however to me a match winner in a way that has stayed there the whole day for the sake of Pakistan.

Good knock by Misbah in the end, he needs to do something about his habit of going into the shell but he saw us through to the end unlike other batsmen

Afridi was simply spectacular.. hope to see more of that in the series!!

I don't think you have understood my post. If you want Fawad Alam, then drop Shahid Afridi. Otherwise, don't even think about Fawad Alam then.
Only an eleven players can represent the team. It's not rocket science.
 
The only downside to this is, is that our batting looked a bit rusty. But any way PAKISTAN WIN!!!

great performance in the field, i guess we were hoping for more from the batsmen but afridi akmal and misbah saw us home, we must remember that they havent played international cricket for a while, so a fine victory. congrats.

It might be possible to drop Rao or Akhtar for Fawad Alam but since we already have good spinners that might be pointless. If we want to strengthen the batting we need better batsmen :raja

Alright..........i agree with you but he can possibly replace someone and that someone could be Nasir as he is injured at the moment

Looking at the Strike rate only Afridi's Strike Rate was above 100 (150).

- Pakistan does need third seamer. Having Saeed Ajmal and Shahid Afridi for spinning bowling attack are enough. After we have learned the lesson, it's extra batsman Pakistan badly needs at the moment.

- Pakistan needs specialist opener. But Fawad Alam is not specialist opener. You must have been mistaken about him. Fawad has no chance at all. Although, Ahmed Shehzad could have been given the chance to replace Naser Jamshed.

If Jamsheds fit he should be retained. Akmal could open again and fawad bat lower down and kick Butt out!

Not Nasir Jamshed... Butt needs to go out for next game.

I am very impressed with Kamran Akmal. I'd prefer to go with Ahmed Sehzad or any new specialist to pair with Salman Butt. Misbah badly needed someone to build the long inning with. Having Kamran Akmal on the four position could be benefit for Pakistan. He also has experience to perform in under pressure. Shahid Khan Afridi should be sent as opener just in case if we want Fawad Alam to bat in position of Shahid Khan Afridi. Otherwise, go with the any new specialist opener and make sure to have Kamran on Shahid Khan Afridi position to provide stable support to batsmen like Malik and Misbah.

- If Akmal decides to open with Butt, either Fawad or Arafat must be bring at #5-6 to stabilize the batting lineup.

You think Fawad and Arafat are similar in batting talent? Thats a load of crap.

We beat them in Australia under Dhoni. You are talking about the series where India was playing their oldies. By the way.. it is Pakistan vs Australia.
So what it is it got antyhing to do with India? Just because they beat India in India .. it still doesn't change they caved in.

Thats why i tend to not view the last 5/10 posts when im a stream. They ruin everything!
