Sarfraz has improved a lot in his batting.

Ok his footwork is still poor but at least he's playing with nice soft hands, not over hitting like when he first started.

He has been good on tracks like these for some years now, performed well in domestic also. Had probably confidience issues. He needs to play like this in aus, nz, eng to convince the selectors.

Sarfraz looks fairly convincing when he doesn't try to outdo himself by playing those outrageous shots to pacers. Needs to play within himself and to his strengths. However, short pitched bowling brings the tailender within him to the fore.

Some of the posters need to calm down here. Let Shehzad play as he is doing. There is no run rate preassure. Important to get to a good start and have wickets in hand,

His habbit is becoming like this. Irrespective of total , you need to play positively, so that in crunch situations you can deliver. You need to challenge yourself to win this by 45 overs

This is the thing which shehzad should learn from sarfraz, how to rotate the strike, don't just get stuck at crease and look like fool with no match awareness and requirement, he has just two methods, either block it or whack it nothing in between, he would 10X the batsman he is only if he can develop that middle game, i mean how to score singles otherwise he is a good talent, but he is really not doing justice with his potential.

Shehzad is just an opening version of Misbah. His only quality is his temperament he knows how to battle through

Lols, if our team was like SA or India batting wise I would have agreed on winning by 45 overs, but this is a team who has lost 4 ODI matches on trot so just be happy if we win this one.

Overconfidience isn't good either.

Really painful to see him bat like that how he is batting now.

7 off 22 is NEVER a good start for an opener regardless of what you are chasing- Shehzad is now 50+ ODIs into his career, he should know better

Positive attitude wise Sarfaraz is the best Pakistani batsman in Tests and ODIs.

He has moved on to 17 of 27 now, so just chill out man. Let the kid play.

Mamoon: "Umar Amin scored 30 at an SR of 70 against SA. He's class"

"Ahmed Shehzad isn't good enough"

" one game as an opener vs a whole year. Sounds plausible "

Yup, should discuss how dinosaurs became extinct while Pakistan is batting.

No, It was your post that he should be dropped. Just like your post that Sarfraz isn't good enough while Amin and Shafiq are.

why should both sarfaraz and shehzad take take risks ones accelerating and other is settling for a big innings
shows how much cricket some of you know

with misbah they both would be defending

10 dots -> 2 fours -> 10 dots.

Reminds of a certain Misbah. Only if boundaries laid the foundation of an innings. Singles and doubles do.

What a long boundary that is. In India that would have been a big six!

Mamoon is delusional and extremely biased. Not surprised that he said such stuff.

Asking Shehzad to up his scoring rate and cut down on the dot balls is clearly delusional.

He has looked solid today and getting rid of slog sweeps has helped him.

I am still furious about dropping of Raza Hasan. He must be given a continuous run in ODIs.

Shahzad needs to calm down a bit, no need to play such dreadful shots

The very next shot goes for 4
