Afridi is as poor a Captain as Umer is as a Batsman.

Firstly he couldn't read the pitch and under bowled Malik. Now his choice of batsmen in super over is non sense.

If you are fine with Akmal and Afridi then why Anwar.I mean he didn't trust Anwar and sent Tanvir ahead of Anwar and in super over Anwar becomes his choice.Can you explain this ?

You gotta give yourself a chance.

The best way to give yourself a chance in a super over scenario is to play your big hitters.

Afridi, Umar and Anwar are our biggest hitters. In the match - we didn't need a hitter at the stage Tanvir went in - we needed someone who could support Malik & therefore didn't need Anwar.

Malik was visibly exhausted after his innings and to count on him to go out there and smack a few more boundaries would have been unreasonable. And on what basis would Hafeez and Rizwan get a go ahead when you are looking for sloggers essentially?
