On this pitch, both Asif and Sami should have played. Butt or Hafeez should have been benched.
Won't be easy for Pak. batsmen. Pitch is very pacy and bouncy. They should set a target of 140. Afterall both Aus and SA couldn't score more than that against minnows.

Wish we had Irfan and Shahzaib for this game.

i dont thnk cricinfo does any pre match previews for the women matches...jus the live scoring
 
I am not a fan of Sami, but the conditions today demanded that Sami should have been played.

It seems now Ajmal has to bowl in the death overs along with Aamir, while both Asif and Razzaq are not good death overs bowlers.

Saeed Ajmal in death overs is a big risk.
 
Good toss to lose I guess. Traditionally we are bad at chasing while England gave us a chance to bat first.

Salman should have been benched for spilling that chance in the last match.
 
They have Mustaq Ahmed as spinner coach who will give them alot of info about Pakistani spinners. Remeber last time Pak played against England ? Spinners could not do much. BUT on this pitch with some bounce Ajmal and Afridi will look totaly different bowlers.

England think they can get Pakistan out on low score on bouncy pitch which they maybe can so lets hope Pakistan play smart. Small boundires will do well for us.
 
We need to get the South Africans and the Irish out early. The English will not do much damage.
 
Even though Pakistan suck at chasing, this is a big toss to win for England. There will be movement with the early start and England will know how to use the d/l method should it come in to play.

Had they loss the toss, they would still have bowled first.

Happy with the team. We will need an extra batter and it's a good wicket for spin. Early start, Butt and Akmal need to give a decent start.

Aus and SA only managed 140 against weaker bowling line ups. 150 would be a decent score.
 
Would have liked to fielded first but we are batting first. Butt and kamran must make sure pakistan get a solid start without silly shots and better running between the wicket. We must have enough wickets in hand by the time we enter last ten overs.

After openers hafeez should be next followed by Umar, fawad, Afridi, Misbah, Razzak, Aamer, Ajmal and Asif.

Amazed to hear Jason saying that England will beat Pak easily, he's not giving Pak any chance!

When was the last time Pakistan won against England in a T20 game?
 
Asif bowling first would have caused problems here. Pakistan are lucky there's no Anderson.

Pundits saying England will have a real boost from not having to face Gul.

I also think England are favourites tbh. Very important toss.. that's no excuse, but Pakistan's batting could fall like a pack of cards here. Hope they prove me wrong.
 
Sidebottom and co will look for the outside edge through to keeper. How will Butt and Akmal play?

Weather looks good and Salman looks fully awake.
 
Just hope akmal is more selective with his pulls and hooks they will definate try to bounce us.
