So Pakistan have a chance to make it 5-0! Can they do it?

Should we rest players? Changes etc?

Hasan needs rest, while MoHa needs opportunity to prove his worth now that he won't bowl in future, for such a massive pressure match (PAK to make it 5-0, Lanka to protect that, hence it's almost like a CT SF like pressure to sustain)

Hopefully Hafeez gets another <30 score in the next game. That way if he is banned for two years, then there is a chance that he gets dropped for the NZ series.

Unfortunately, Hafeez has been picked for the T20I series too, so hoping he does poorly with the bat and ball there too.

PAK can only afford one 30+ player and Malik is clearly the best option.
 
If we bat first Babar's 8th ODI hundred coming up. Also another Hasan 5fer coming up.

BTW How long has it been since we whitewashed a team in a 5 match ODI series?

MoHa will play in 3 formats for PAK in future, that considering the next 2 Test in UK & next UAE series 1 years later. And, if Sarfraz isn't careful about his fitness - MoHa'll lead PAK as well.

so far every [MENTION=79064]MMHS[/MENTION] prediction has been right so i think if sarafarz gets unfit i am seeig this national treasure going for the toss.
 
Next match would be the last Odi for Pakistan's players for the year 2017. There is another 2 month huge gap before the next series, most players would want to play.

Hafeez should be dropped and Haris Sohail should be given a chance, can only hope it happens, looks very difficult to see Haris in final XI. Sarfraz should start changing bowling combinations for the dead rubber, and prepare beforehand for absence of Hafeez bowling. His favorites like Azam, Imad will definitely play. Looks more difficult for Azhar Ali also to find a place in odi side. Hope Faheem gets the game and Shadab is dropped[the only one Fahim can replace]. Usman will surely be dropped for Raees.

Pakistan making big mistake by not grooming Fahim , this was the best series . Imad should be dropped , he is good but Fahim is more important in different conditions.

I suggest you look at his predictions more closely.
 
I don't care what side they field, I want Pakistan to bat first and somehow try and reach their own Team best score on the flat Sharjah deck. This is an ideal chance for Arthur to tell his boys to unleash themselves and look for a mammoth target by expressing themselves. I would be so disappointed if Sri Lanka bat first again

The way the series has played out anything other than a 5-0 would be an upset

Although he's quite informed on past Pakistani cricketers & the sporting structure we used to employ back in the day but things have changed quite a bit even in our society, in general, since maybe 2005-2006 so the narrative (based on cliched references) don't necessarily hold true, in the most part.

I think the gully mohalla Dhaka league comment coupled with the Uganda reference aka Pakistan playing qualifiers was more to do with the artificial rise of Bangladesh team during the 2015-2016 period and how it even stoked the egos of level headed fans. Plus Pakistan was going through, probably (not probably most definitely I guess) the worst LOI phase that I've ever witnessed personally in the last 20 years didn't help matters at all.

Since now normalcy has somewhat been restored with 'The Tigers' getting a proper hammering worthy of maybe scarring a generation these same fans have been brought back to earth and you now don't see a horde of posters spewing nonsense (minus MMHS).

His knowledge is good, but the narrative he uses for our sporting (especially cricketing) discourse is based on information that probably went obsolete more than a decade ago.
 
Harris for Hafeez. Bilal Asif for Imad

Harris is better batsman than Hafeez. Can bowl offspin like Imad.
Bilal Asif can do be our right arm off spin option and he's a better slogger than Imad.

i am asking about his prediction of hafiz career.otherwise many of his prediction have been wrong/
 
Fakhar should go back to domestics
he have one good tournament and most of the members praising him like he is second coming of warner

Sounds similar to the Pakistani Test squad reaching the #1 ranking late last year.

I got a feeling we are going to play Hasan and Shahab, think tank is not confident others can handle the middle overs.

Other than that there is an outside of Harris playing, not clear what they have in mind for Fahim, poor judgment and player development from mgmt 🙄

March 2008 when we beat Bangladesh 5-0 in Pakistan

Pakistan won several overseas series unlike BD during that rise to #1. Pakistan is a team in transition in Test ( No excuse for the 0-2 loss as SL simply outplayed Pakistan ). However, the ODI success has shown that Pakistan is now a decent unit in international cricket. They beat SA, suffocated Eng, thrashed India, and have whooped SL 4-0 in their last 8 ODI's. What has BD done?
 
Play Haris in place of any batsman, rest Hasan Ali to give him a break before the T20Is and bring in Rumman.

Just saw a TV report claiming that Rumman Raees is injured and not playing and Haris Sohail failed the fitness test.

What a shame. We all know Haris is a talented batsman but when will he start taking his fitness seriously? You can tell he is unfit just by looking at him.

I know he performed OK in the test series but in ODI's the fitness requirements are different, especially running between the wickets drains a lot out of you. We can clearly see how the running has improved leaps and bounds in the series.

Pakistan will look to try out more players, with Haris Sohail the only one from the squad who has not featured in this series. But Arthur revealed that a spate of injuries was currently haunting the team.

"It’s a pity that we have picked up a couple of injuries,” he remarked. “I thought Fahim Ashraf bowled great lengths. I would have loved to see him play but he did a calf muscle, out of this match on Monday.

"Rumman Raees is out of the last match as well as the Twenty20 series,' added Arthur of the left-arm quick, who has injured his left elbow. “Haris didn't pass a fitness test in Abu Dhabi after he was pretty close to playing. Babar Azam has pulled a groin and we need to take all that into consideration."

Losing Rumman Raees for the T20 series is a huge blow. Hopefully Amir is fit in time.

Last time we whitewashed a team in a 5 match ODI series was in 2007/2008 vs Bangladesh in Pakistan.
