There's almost no way that anyone would prefer Fawad Alam over Sohaib Maqsood in an international. Fawad Alam is a unique sort of a player. He has been performing very well (and very consistently) in domestic cricket for as long as anyone can remember. But on the international stage, he has always looked as uncomfortable with a bat in his hand, as a fish out of water. He is the definition of "ungainly"."
