Sorry Nawaz doesn't deserve his place. I'd rather have someone like Amad Butt who can atleast hit out

pak should have settled for 283 target in 44 overs...this always happen even during drinks break will freshen up bowlers, 1 hr delay has sucked all the momentum pak had and to start afresh....

Probably, 35 runs win.

If Azhar stays at pavilion & Sarfu leads the side, it'll be 75 runs win.

a player outside is always better than the player inside..

I'm just saying what I see. Nawaz doesn't have the ability to clear the ropes regularly and he comes in at number 8. If he was batting at 4-5 then we can ignore this shortcoming but not for someone coming in at 8

What's with the negativity here. 285 off 49 overs is impossible to chase against Imad and co. on this wicket. Pakistan have already won.

We we were 260 after 44. In 6 overs we could have easily had 50 more runs.

Poor way to finish things off but it looks like the target will be 287 in 49 overs which is likely going to be very difficult.

Selectors drop him after 7 ODIs

Even Sarfraz was crap at the start,so be patient.

He's a bowler, who can swing some. But why would you expect him to come in last over when 5 balls are reaming and smack some?

He came into the side as an all rounder and was sent earlier in England until they realized his lack of ability with the bat. A half decent all rounder can still slog in the last over. Had this been Jadeja or Stokes, they would have clubbed at least a few boundaries or a 6 or two.

Nawaz is here to stay. It is not easy to slog and slog after a break with Windes not giving any pace at all, Good bowling by pacers. Kept Nawaz and Imad quiet.

the he is batting too low for his potential... not sure why they sent IMMAD above him... Nawaz can rotate strike at ease and hit odd boundaries but he is not capable of slogging which IMMAD is...

Imad takes time to get into a groove. He can't slog from get go. Well he can, but holes out.

It would be stupid to send Nawaz above Imad who is dynamic

Looking at WI batting line-up and well, do they even have a single batsmen with a good average in ODI?

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Nawaz in the side. He is a hard working lad and a good spinner but he is batting too low. There is no space in the top order to accommodate him.

Mickey should just practice with him how to hit long and far. That's all the batting he should concentrate on. Hitting out is a skill that can learned. No need for a proper bat at number 8.
