Of course. Winning any 'official' series contributes to the rankings for any team. I just don't know if Pakistan have climbed any rankings though. Most probably not.

Yeah sorry, I wasn't sure. Ah what a shame, I would have liked to see Pakistan go up one in the rankings. Perhaps if we whitewash?

Nether the less, it was an excellent performance from Pakistan. 232 Is hardly a total worth being proud of,but all the players can be proud of defending a total so low, and they should be proud of winning a series after such a long absence of cricket!

some of the doom and gloom mongerers should bow their heads in shame!

anyway well done to pakistan - some very good individual performances and they showed good mental strength to first recover from being 17 for 2 to reach 230 odd and then to defend such a total...

but hats off especially to malik because in short his captaincy was absolutely brilliant...he bowled each and every bowler at exactly the right time and his field placements were also good...credit where credit is due...

by the way, those who mock tanvir's bowling should also bow their heads in shame...the guy has awsome control of line and length, now bowls both the away and inswinger, and has an excellent yorker...i for one would love to see him bowl in english conditions...if he can be good on asian tracks, then just imagine how good he can be on wickets that actually offer something to the bowlers other then just conventional swing...

Disappointing stuff from Chendulkar.

The thing to note is that we have now managed to chase a score close to 300 as well as defending a sub-par total of 230 odd. Awesome performance!

I have a good feeling about Tanvir under lights.

I still think we're going to win this game.
Mammy got it right in the end, eh bruvvas :11:

A typical Pak performance where they dissapoint you at the beggining , give u some hope in the middle and pull it of in style at the end and make u proud ... I think the most amazing and unpredictable team in the world ... If only somehow we could find that consistancey thats lacking for so long now...

Yes his captaincy on the field was much better in this innings. Credit to our boys that they kept at it and won. But in the end this is the West Indies, they have a habit of choking and messing up at the end. I also feel Chanderpaul played a selfish innings and made our job easier by exposing the tail when he shouldnt have.

Tanvir was brilliant today, fantastic. But the pitch has some swing for him in the second innings. But he has good variations and i trust him to bowl on all conditions.

WI could have won this match only if Chanderpaul had scored quicker. He played too slow for his 100 and kept giving strike to the tailender.

Well done Pakistan!
Well done Afridi!
Well done Roa!
Well done Tanno!
Well done Gul!
Well done Kuptaan!
Well done boys!

And what did I tell you, guys?

When Pak was 80 odd for 3 (just before Malik got run out):

I have a feeling 220 will be enough today.

So Pak has scored 232 (13 more than necessary to win). I believe the game is in the bag.

I don't believe 'their throwing the match away from a winning position' is the way to approach this game. Tanno, Gul, Rao, Afridi, and Malik will Inshallah bowl them out.

In other words, we will Inshaallah win it, rather than they losing it.
Well done Momo! :D

Momo, don't be so modest.
Extreme modesty is ingrained in my very nature. :D

But seriously, I feel a little guilty taking so much credit, especially considering the fact that I went to sleep on my desk some time after Tanno got those two early wickets, and miraculously found myself in bed when I woke up this morning. :)

Momo, would you mind assisting me with the lottery numbers? I 'll share it with you. :D
