We're essentially playing with 9 players. Asad with a pair and Nawaz who hardly scored and hardly bowls. :P

While I agree with your point, we used to have a 20 page long thread about Waqar's commentary exploits.

He's a real legend with these gems, but it's all in good fun of course. :)
 
15 each by last three can give us close to 200 to defend , not good enough on the wicket but it will give us some hope.

and then we can get them all out for less than a 100 like we did against England in Abu Dhabi back in 2012.
 
More catching practice! How does a batsman on 91 get out like that?!
 
These two (Wahab and Amir) should just attack. Both can't defend at all so no point defending.

The wicket isn't square turning , all we can hope is some stupid shots from west indies. If they play sensibly they should win comfortably.
 
We are finished as a Test team. Will be ranked 5th/6th pretty soon after the drubbing that we will receive in Australia.
 
What is up with Misbah. Wahab is surely not better than Yasir, cant believe he is coming ahead of him
 
Wrong time for Azhar to get out, just before 2nd ball, he could have scored faster against new ball. On this dead slow & low wicket, all 7 wickets went to catching, which indicates massive lack of application & loose shots. It'll need a great effort from the bowlers to win it - both with bat & ball.
 
we need to limp to 175 one way or the other..... Just get to 175 and we'll probably make a match of it......
 
Mickey Arthur must be commended for his tinkering with the LOI teams, but he hasn't done well with the test team. The promotions have weakened the lower middle order. If Shafiq was at 5/6, this would have never happened.
 
What a pathetic way way to lose a wicket - 6th soft dismissal of the innings; I give Asad & Nawaz benefit of doubt. And this is on 79th over.
 
A WI win would be nice, hot on the heels of Bang bros victory. With better application and a pair of brain cells they should have gotten something from the first test too.

FTR Waqar seems to only be limited by his grasp of English in his commentary, it often seems as though he clearly has something useful and insightful to say but can't quite find the right words for it. Bazid and rambo are hopeless, the former talks as if he would choke on his own words at any moment.
 
Pakistan had its golden run from 2014-2016. It is all over now.

We missed a great opportunity of winning the series in England when we were on a high, but we couldn't finish the job. Now it is all downhill from here.

We are back to our old ways in Test cricket. Think the UAE fortress will be breached within the next couple of years as well.

West Indies have certainly come close, and I wonder what would have been the result of the 2015 England series had the sun in Abu Dhabi decided to shine for an additional 15 minutes.
 
I think Nawaz has been a very bad experiment and is not ready for Test cricket yet. Moreover we should not play more than 2 frontline spinners in UAE especially if you are not going to use the 5th bowler.

Amir is finished as a batsman. Both technically and mentally.
 
Windies have been decent this series tbf except the second test the first one and this one they have come up with some very good individual performance,only if their board was even 10% professional they would had been a Top 5 team.
 
Pakistan have always dropped the odd test at 'home'. They've lost UAE tests in recent years to SA, NZ, SL, and now maybe to WI. It was never the "fortress" that some people made it out to be.
 
We have the worst tail in the world.

Zero talent, application and intelligence.

I wrote it several times that I don't think the UAE wicket suits the team. All those losses were after winning the toss & Misbah has probably 90% toss winning record in UAE. On such wickets, batting second PAK team is bound to struggle.
 
Really poor performance from the batsmen. West Indies didn't bowl extraordinarily,Pak threw away too many wickets.

150 is not enough especially considering time is not a factor

I was there present at Oval when the tail applied themselves with YK and we pushed the runs to 540 plus. They have just taken the foot off the pedal come this third test match...

That was once in a blue moon. Look at the success rate of our tail and compare it to that of other teams.

Our tail is comfortably the worst in the world.
 
On Cb they are saying Windies have never lost a test while chasing 200,records up for breaking for Pakistan.
 
Never thought this would happen, especially considering how we performed in England.

Shambolic.
 
Justice has been served. We never deserved to be ranked number 1.
