I didn't realize that Babar struggles against Rashid Khan, although the sample size is small but what should be the plan against Rashid in Sharjah?

Stay on the non striker end.

I'd happily settle for 30 runs from his 4 overs without any wickets.

Rashid is not in form, Babar has a chance to even the record

Rashid is being average by his standards but decent by any other standards. He took 3 crucial wickets against Bangladesh at critical times at an economy of 5.5 which is not bad.

Pakistan need to be careful against him and not give it away. Interestingly Riz & Fakhar need to take more risks against him

Babar should open with Rizwan and hopefully, both of them are well settled before Rashid starts bowling. If not, throw Nawaz at him.

The threat that Afg poses is from their spin bowlers. Their fast bowling is generally not their strong suite but with Umar Gul as their bowling coach, one has to be wary. Pakistan should tackle their 12 overs of spin with confidence and have the correct right-left combination to tackle them. One has to play them on merit and not become overly defensive as that can lose momentum as well as wickets. Haider Ali should be considered as a proper technical batsman at 4. The Afg. batting is quixotic. It is not reliable but can be enterprising. If Pakistan put up a par total, it will be difficult for them to chase. Hoping for a good match and a victory.
