I was hoping for another wicket on the last ball . Need some coffee :(

The two batsmen would have easily played out Ajmal's over leaving Tanvir's over for the last where they would have scored. What else was Misbah supposed to do?

easily? Not really , as you see one mor gets oout to his bowling. You need to get wickets not save runs all the time.

This isnt Pakistan.

They aren't gonna crumble to 190 all out.

Azhar should ball its hard to hit the spinners by the look of things

14 from 4 overs...still can swing pakistan way

Hope so

Yes, they would have defended and seen his over off. He got this wicket because the batsman was attacking him, he wouldnt have played reverse sweep if target was still 30+ like it was before Tanvir's over. Then I am sure you only would blame Misbah for not leaving Ajmal overs in the end

Nothing would have happened. The batsmen wouldnt have taken any risks waiting for Tanvir's over. It was only because the target is so low that they decided to attack Ajmal this over

I don't think they would have left it that late.

gonna go away for a bit and see if theres nething left for ajmal to bowl at :p

No , ajmal is an attacking bowler and has tricks to get wickets unlike cheema and tanvir. You do not leave spinners for final overs as it is easier to hit spinners in the final overs.

Ajmal only had 2 overs, they had 5 overs from other bowlers. Even if they take only 5 runs from Ajmal's overs, they would need only 25+ in 4 overs from others

i just hope next match we learn some lessons

and play 4 spinners

I hope they don't. Pakistan tried it in the series against England here in UAE and lost that game too. Pacers (good ones) are needed to bring a different angle to the attack. Batsmen then need to adjust to the different forms of attack and at least spent some thought process on that. In this game, at the end Australians were milking Afridi and Azhar Ali with easy singles and twos.

What I fear 'll happen is that Shoaib Malik will be brought in for Tanvir, and Junaid for Cheema. And then we'll have five spinners in the team! Junaid will have no support from the other end and will likely bowl five or six overs.

Agreeed, but both batsmen did defend him easily in the previous overs, they would have done the same and waited for Tanvir or Cheema to come

Body language of Pak players tells that story. Just a matter of time now. Had they played full 50 overs, would have been different situation.

7 to win of 12 balls would be interesting if it goes to the last over

Captaincy was the difference in this match. Clarke took the gamble of bowling his best bowlers upfront and it paid off. Misbah on the other hand was too afraid to use up his best bowlers upfront. Stupid Misbah!

There it is! 6

Congrats Aus. 30 more runs and Pak. would have won this game.

Congrats to the Aussies, well deserved victory. Pakistan team should learn how to chase
