Teams are realising that Fakhar can be tied up when you bowl into his body, he's weak putting away leg stump deliveries. He's strong on the cut and against spin, and remains our best powerhitter but he does have limitations.

Which is why I initially asserted that Fakhar won't be a great T20 batsman. I was forced to admit I was wrong when he was in form but I guess I wasn't off the mark by too much. He'll struggle in T20s against a smart opposition unless the conditions suit him.

These T20s seem to be a waste of time. Most teams try new players. Australia are trying 2 spinners and Short. Why is Talat dropped for Malik ? Malik will be gone ona few months, Talat may not be good enough but I would rather give him game time to find out rather than play a 37 year old who is coming to the end of his career. What will we learn from playing him in this game? Same with Hafeez. I also don't understand why we can try a keeper in this series. I understand Sarfraz won't be dropped for the WC but what if he breaks down at the WC, who will take his place without any experience?

Sorry to be a depressing but most team try new players in T20s and we just pick the same team and our strongest team vs Zimbabwe B side.
