Pakistan vs Delhi - OD warm-up game - 02/11/2007

I dont expect Akhtar to go out and put himself under too much stress for a side game.

In the meanwhile, a questionable no ball from Gul and a brilliant yorker to deny runs on the free hit - 85/4 in 23 overs
 
4 by Dhawan off Gul - 91/4 and a no ball as well !

0.1 Lee to Gambhir, no run, good pace to begin with, 146kphs just outside off stump and Gambhir defends coming onto the front foot, a hint of swing from Lee


0.3 Lee to Ganguly, no run, fired in at close to 150 kph, the ball rises on Ganguly and Gilchrist collects it near his face...raw pace folks
 
a no ball hit for four ... and a free hit coming up ... Gul is doing his best to make a game of this.

exactly. he should use this as an opportunity to get some match practice and get into rythm.
Not come charging in at full throttle bowling at 90mph+.

Yes I do occasionally, did it a lot before he was dropped for no good reason and therefore resulted in PAk losing matches for nothing when they had a player who could've won them some of those matches ;-)

gul continues to be expensive and erratic ... tanvir is winning the duel today.

The Stats prove that Razzaq is class and none of your "so called replacements" can match his career bowling nor batting record

Yes it is my opinion but its also a fact. Just go check out his stats in the last 2-3 years. A disgraceful bowling average in the 40s and a handful of batting performances here and there. More people agree with me than with you, and most importantly.....the people that count agree with me :19:

As I recall Ian Chapell,Rameez Raja, Miandad, Osman Samiuddin and Kamran Abbasi (just to name a few) were surprised at his exclusion and thought he merited a place :>

PakPassion was unanimous in its agreement with the decision. Just a few 'oh no but he can hit sixes' kiddies have come out of the woodwork in the last couple of weeks.

Oh and the people that count.......the selectors, think you are wrong and I am right. So tough! :19:

The selectors have their own personal agenda inPAK
Everyone knows that and Razzaq was part of Inzi's group, therefore he had to be taken care
Thats the PP view of a few weeks back
Check again, the results might be different, now that people can see what they are missing, thats why so many razzaq threads are being made and also people posting on these threads.
BTW I agree more with the experts with all due respect unless Imran Khan and other great cricket greats come to the forum to give their expert opinions and as I said the results will be different now as the tide is changing and PP is noticing how we need Razzaq, SO there! :16:

Not that many threads about Razzaq.

And its mostly the immature (msotly not all) kiddies who want him back. All of the established, knowledgable posters here are glad he is gone. I couldn't care less about the so called experts....if the selectors have their own agendas then so do people like Miandad.

And I say again....he is gone and there is NOTHING you can do about it! So tough luck! :19:

No not really some experienced posters also support him and the others might have gone "to the dark side" so to speak due to peer pressure

Well, the experts opinion does count whether you like it or not

Anyway he will be back iA , whether you like it or not
Now that he is out of retirement, if not under this selection commitee then the next, so there! :D

Not at all. Some of the established and knowledgable posters here have been calling for him to be dropped for the last 2 years. I actually considered him to be a decent guy to have around until his childish immature reaction to being dropped. Now he has had to do an embrassing backtrack! :)))

As you put it, he is now back after his so called retirement....now that he has stopped crying like a spoilt baby and has embarassed/humiliated himself by coming begging to the PCB.....lets see him use his head and earn his place in the team.

But for now....HE IS GONE! :D :19:
 
Fawad and YK have now bowled 10 overs between then so Shoaib Malik can keep them off if he likes.

Dhawan runout! Nobody appealed except YK. Referral to 3rd umpire and turns out Dhawan didn't ground his bat and YK was right

this 35th over "new used" ball is really changing ODI bowling strategy ... we gonna see pacers come back in when the ball gets replaced.
 
Tanvir bowls Tehlan ... but it was to no avail ... it was a free hit!
 
And Alam finally gets a wicket ... another caught and bowled to him. Tehlan leaves. Delhi 6/157 after 39.4 overs.
 
Good bowling display from Tanvir today ... didn't pick up a wicket but was economical to give away only 25 runs in his 10 overs.

But from what I can read he put pressure on the batsmen. If he finished with those sorts of figures every game ... I won't mind too much that he didn't pick up a wicket.

Hmmm...where can I get LSD. Nobody sells LSD in Houston :( Can anyone hook me up with it? A professor once gave me a sample essay that argued how LSD is perfectly safe recreational drug with no side effects. The writer was very persuasive but where the hell do you get it from?

It has no physical side effects but if you have a bad trip you could be seriously screwed and may need phsyciatric help in getting back to normal. Someone was at a festival once and saw a drunk person throwing up and thought they had just seen the devil (seriously thought that).

Plus it is a class A drug and you will be doing serious time if you get caught.

So i'd advise you not to touch it. It isn't worth it.

As usual the openers disappoint!. this was the perfect time to get some match practise instead of throwing your bat around. 213 is very low target, whats the harm in playing slow?
