So its a big match again.
India vs Pakistan. I think its 65-35. India is always favorite against us in a tournament matches whether theyare main or 3rd/4th grade team. But even this Indian team looks very promising. Hopefully we just go and play the match without taking too much tension.
Will they live telecast this match???

Don't think there will be any telecast. I could be wrong.

I have not heard a single name of Indian players playing in this tournament except Shubham Mavi. On the other hand, Pak is playing a very strong squad with many of its internationals.

Pak should start as massive favourite to win this game.

Hasnain is the only one in this squad to have played for Pakistan.

Apart from Hasnain there are no internationals but yes it's a strong team with atleast half of them expected to feature for.senior team one day hopefully they give a good account of themselves and win against india for a change.

In batting Arman Jaffer is a good prospect for india

Bowling- Shivam Mavi is the main threat.

Overall, Pakistan has more depth in terms of prospects who could easily play international cricket from the current squad (Ammad Butt, Rohail Nazir WK, Khusdil Shah, Hasnain, M Mohsin, Sameen Gul)

*Hasnain and Khusdil Shah(1 T20 international) have played for Pakistan*.

Yeah, thanks, forgot about Khushdil.

Most of the others have played for U19s and are several are expected to play for Pakistan in future, so there's no doubt it's a strong squad.

Seriously the Pakistan side should be start as favorites. Apart from Mavi and Jaffer, the rest are mostly jokers who have done **** all in domestic cricket. Not sure who 80% of the players are.

Having checked the credentials of th Indian t am, most of them are making their List A debuts here. The squad looks like a mix of U19 and some 20 year olds pushed by their respective association to make people happy. Apart from Mavi, Sharath no one has done anything of note domestically

The key word is "emerging".

Good luck to team Pakistan!👍💪

This game is scheduled at Mirpur on a batting belter - PAK E will crash IND E, unless it’s a rare bad day. India actually has sent a team with reserves of Ranji teams, but no shame for them - take out Babar & Amir, Misbah’s PAK National team will struggle against this Emerging team.

Pakistan international squad could easily lose to a domestic Lahore/Karachi team.

Only Babar and Shaheen are truly international quality players in our squad. Hopefully things will improve tho!

Most probably because of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy.

Let's hope so but recently there has been a big mental block kets see they can overcome this.

This won't be broadcasted live.
The final however will be broadcasted

I didn't know this existed an few days back lol, anyways just did a quick search and it seems BD has the strongest squad, they are playing Naim, Afif, Shanto and two times world cupper Soumya Sarkar for crying out loud. I will be surprised if they don't win the tournament.

There is no match at all between the two teams. We are surely going to win this one and there will nothing to cherish about it. Our team is at least 20 times stronger.

There are literally only two internationals and out of the two, Shah has only played one T20I. Bangladesh on the other hand seem to be playing more than a few international players. I think BD has to be the favourite in the tournament based on that.

BCB is using this tournament for two purposes - first one is to keep the batting bench on toes: most of these batsmen are fringe players of national team, and at the right age. Only player I didn’t like was Soumya - he was brought at last minute to make a stronger case of winning tournament. Second and main target was to find next gen bowlers. They have picked : Minhajul (Abedin Afridi), Aminul Islam, Tanvir, Hasan Mahmud, Mehedi Rana, Sumon, Mahedi, Abu Haider as bowlers, and accept Haider, all these bowlers are fresh faces - in fact, I don’t think Haider has got a game here.

I think, PAK will move to final quite easily, while BD-AFG game should be closer. For Indian team, there must be quality, but most players have very little experience, means they are picked on junior level talent/performance but not much game time due to competition. Armand Jaffar is an excellent batsman, but failed in FC debut season, and competition is such that, he might not get a second chance unless he moves out of Mumbai, Maharashtra circle. Afghans are always unpredictable- got blown away in first game, but won next two games comfortably.

I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to reverse jinx.
We all know it's gonna be the opposite of what you said.

Bangladesh will easily make it to the final and the ind vs pak match will be closer.

I strongly believe Bangaldesh will win this tournament regardless of who makes it to the final with them.

No, I don’t believe in jinx - before the start of the tournament, I made predictions that PAK will take India in SF (means BD will beat IND in group stage), and hosts are favourite to win it.

But, my SF prediction (BD-AFG game), is based on one stupidity by BD team management, which I mentioned yesterday. We won three tosses, and opted to chase three times; then won by, 9, 6 & 8 wickets inside 25, 42 & 24 overs with 2 batsmen scoring 75% runs. This is plain stupidity, because AFGs have better attack and in SF, if we are put in (or even in chase), Soumya & Shanto might fail, and we are basically left with a batting lineup without any match practice. Should have definitely batted first in last game and shuffle batting order to give game time for No. 4, 5, 6 & 7. In tournaments, you don’t need dominating wins, rather you needs players in good touch and balanced results. On player to player basis, AFGs shouldn’t have much chance, but they are coming after three hard fought games.

Still, I think it’ll be PAK-BD final and hosts should start as favourites.

That tells you how much BCCI value the ACC Emerging Players series. Had it been an India U19 or India 'A' assignment, the players would have to leave their state teams to play the series.

The excuses have started already SMH

As you said, it's not important then why are you trying to use your excuses beforehand so if you lose you can say "they had a weak team".

It's an emerging asia cup FGS. Calm down

This is directed towards everyone on this thread

Our team is stronger so hopefully for once we can beat India in something

Indian boys should enjoy this match. Not everyday you get to face 95mph+ bowler in match situation.

rohail has been very consistent batting at number 3 which is a very good sign for the future

India team consist of nobody players, if we failed to beat them than better shut down our domestic cricket.

They must be nobody players for us, but to represent India in cricket, at any level, they must be decent.
And if you mention most of the Pakistani players to random indians they probably don’t know about many of them either.

Let’s not get carried away here, but instead just pray our boys can handle the preassure and defeat India.

Only standouts in the Indian team are Armaan Jaffer and S Mavi.

I think the tide turns here and Pakistan win this match - too many prospects in this PAK squad which are not too far away from international call ups. (i.e. Ammad Butt, Sameen Gul, Rohail Nazir, M Mohsin).

You are mistaken, those players are nobody for us Indians. Only Arman Jaffer and Shivam mavi are somewhat recognisable. Both not the regulars of their first team as well. Atleast you guys know ur players.

Very interesting game this - Somehow Pakistan look more formidable

I think between Afg. and BD it's 35-65 to Bangladesh. BD have a strong team that has played well so far + home advantage.

Afghanistan batting is not bad, but the bowling is weak. They have selected a lot of allrounders to bowl instead of pure bowlers. Usually we have a bunch of good spinners, but this team seems short of them. I could think of 4-5 spinners that could have been selected ahead of the ones selected.Qais Ahmed, Noor Ahmad Lakanwal(Maybe the next big spin sensation from Afg), Zahir Khan, Zia Ur Rehman, Waqar Salamkheil. Should be an interesting game.
