To start with, you could see that Sami was bowling within himself, he was being matched for pace by Gul who was getting more bounce and was the best bowler on show for the first session and a half. Gul hit the batsmen on the helmets/shoulder a couple of times off a goodish length. Sami's line and length were still pretty good and the boundries being hit off him were mainly towards the 3rd man region.

Towards the latter half of the day, Sami stepped it up a gear. You could measure the increased effprt he was putting into his bowling just by looking at his follow through.

Hi everyone, ive just tuned in anyone watching the match in the ground?
 
Dunno what version of cricket are Pak playing here ! This a game to get accustomed to conditions and get themselves in shape for test matched and Afridi walks in and plays some kind of token ODI innings ! I would be surprised if they pick him for the first test.

well, our opening was our only real batting worry before this series, and they've got some runs. I'm sure our middle order will do well with MoYo and Inzi back.
 
reading the article in the Observer about Imran Khan gives some glimpse into the psyche of such players maybe? He says he was like Viv Richards and couldn't be bothered against lesser teams and players. I guess people like mohammed Asif and Shahid Afridi are like that. With Afridi you also have the Pathan lack of fear. Why bother playing defensively? what do you fear? Losing a cricket match? negativity and small mindedness of some Pakistan 'fans' is one of the worst things.
 
Spot on, will we see butt and farhat open though, im not sure, i think they will pick farhat and malik

I quite like the look of that team although Razzaq will have to play at 7 otherwise we only have 2 pace bowlers?!
