forget cricinfo bbc etc...they are all extremely slow!!!

125 run lead now, if pakistan can get a burst of wickets here then they have the best chance of winning this game!

Kaneria bowled that last over and beat the batsman with the last delivery.

OK folks:

Gul took the 4th wicket...bowled Snape for 5 FOW 4-55

Current Partnerhip: 59

His job is to pick up wickets, and when you in this attacking frame of mind you are bound to go for a few.

I second this, cricinfo still says 114-4

So, what's the score now then?

Cricinfo says its still lunch but its been an hour.

190 odd for 8 - danish picked on after lunch and afridi has picked up two including wicket of mongia

another wicket190 odd for 9 and younis khan took a brilliant catch in the slip...so dany now has 3 wickets

and bowled by danny - so 191 all out - danny ends with 4 wickets - 203 to win..off 57 overs

I hope it proves some of the Sami doubters wrong. AJ, WS and etc.

Its funny how your "this is a county team, England are a different matter" theory applies to some players but not others!

Right now England are hardly better than a county team.

Well bowled Danny, 4 wickets, and 2 for Afridi. Good stuff.

We should chase this and give all our batsman some practice.

Which is true.

And Whippy Butt has been failing continuously since the India series up till now whereas Sami has been performing whoever the opposition are. He may go for plenty but he is picking up wickets which is the important thing.

Uzzy you are right about their form prior to the match, but it still feels to me like double standards.

Butt scores half century against county side = he's still crap
Sami takes 4 wickets against county side = it's Sami's series!

farhat looking for his shots - 2 more to him - 11 for no loss - 3 overs

Yeah, I edited the Butt double century thing. Dunno how I got thta mixed up with a half century...

4 more for imran farhat - 21 for no loss - 18 for imran farhat - look sin glorious touch (according to the commentator)

imran farhat driuves through mid-wicket another three runds to farhat - 24 without loss

Good to see Pakistan opening with Malik this time. Makes alot of sense to try all the openers.

wicket is so slow and easy easy and devoid of any life whatsover that it really puts gul's and sami's bowling efforts into pespective...

But the thing is Whippy, Sami has been performing since being dropped and has shown some signs of improvement. I would take Sami who goes for runs but still picks up wickets than Sami who used to go for runs and go wicketless.

Salman Butt since being dropped doesn't look to have improved a great deal. He's made runs against Lecis which is great news but for me there is still a question mark over his head whether he will make runs against England.

very healthy competition for the opening slot...imran farhat certainly appears to be in glorious form...

farhat hits another 4...

I would rather see Malik and Farhat opening against England.

commentary is so dry and lacks any enthusiasm that it almost seems like leicester are just going through the motions...

Does anyone know what the weather is going to be like during the 1st test? Hot and Dry?
