Inzi has said he wants Farhan to play a full domestic season first. He has been keeping an eye on him and invited him to the 10 week camp as well as the Hong Kong Blitz Tournament. At least such players are being given a chance and being developed.

How many times? Inzi picks the squad, Mickey/Sarfaraz pick the playing XI. Mickey admitted he picked Shehzad and Wahab in the CT opening game.

Why don't you mention how Inzi picked Shadab, Fakhar, Ashraf, Haris, Hassan Ali, Rumman etc?

This last recognized pair, one of them fall it is over. The coming tailenders have a 50 in first class but not upto the level to compete with a tough bowling side.

Both Raees and Junaid did'nt even bowl full 10 overs together. Hasan Ali bulldozed what was left in just his 5 overs.

Even if we win 5-0 it won't mean anything, and wouldn't whitewash our obvious weaknesses and shortcomings.

So the CT win was a fluke and if we win 5-0 here, it won't count. Should Pakistan just stop playing cricket considering nothing matters.

In UAE? Only India and England will be tough to beat. Can’t see the Aussies or Proteas beat Pakistan in ODIs.

We have got hammered by England in recent ODI series but we beat them in the CT semi final where it mattered the most :)

No we shouldn't. Rather, we should start beating the top teams which we haven't been able to, in order to justify the claims that we have made great strides as a team. SL is the only team we have dominated in this decade, so this series doesn't change anything.

The real test will be against the top teams. If we can beat them, it will show that this team is different than the previous one. If we can't, then it will reinforce the idea that the CT was a flash in the pan just like the WT20 2009.

I don't share your confidence. However, in the UAE, Australia and South Africa have humiliated us multiple times. If we beat them there now, it will prove that we have really improved as a team.

Yes, but you have to look for consistency. The top teams do well in both bilaterals and tournaments. If you only do well in bilaterals but fail in tournaments, that shows that you are a choker. If you fail in bilaterals but win a tournament every now and then, it shows that those tournament wins were flashes in the pan and you were able to catch teams at the right time.
 
can some explain me the reason how did ahmed shehzad got into first xi? i am watching our match after a while!
 
SL have impressive tail. No 8 and 9 playing well.

Pakistan's win were not fluke, there is pattern and method to our progress. Its not like we are best in the world, but in LOIs we are moving in right direction...Our bowling is consistently doing great job, not by fluke but by quality. When your best bowler comes at 15th over, that gives you lot of attacking option, not to mention the bowlers comes after him(Shadab) is also an attacking option...We are choking and striking opposition in middle overs, with Amir/Raees we have attacking option upfront, there is no breathing room...I dare to say, ATM our bowling plans and executions are better than most(if not all of them), hats off to Azhar for that...

Pakistan fielding has been improved consistently, PSL has raised the standard, now young players are more ready for international cricket (again thanks to PSL)...It is building the right culture to grow our players...

Batting is still my main worry, playing in Asia all the time does not test your fast bowling playing skills, all these seniors are hidding behind spin bashing skills. Which will not help us win WC in England, at the end most important goal is to win the WC2019 ATM, we need more dynamic batting lineup to achieve that goal. We need to score 300+ as par score, if we do that with our bowling, we will be winning most matches, opposition does not matter!!
 
Unleash hassan and raees, bowl them out now, need to attack, go home early, watch some dramay

Pakistan won those 4 matches on the back of consistent performance by our bowling, we tied down 4 teams below 230, that is not random :srini
 
^ Also, remember ENG played 50 overs, the might sloggers, yet made only 211...SL is going at that rate too, that does not hurt ;-)
