What's new

Pakistan vs Sri Lanka | 1st T20I | Abu Dhabi | October 26, 2017 | Pakistan Innings

I am.sure Fakhar doesn't like to bat with Ahmed given his style and Babar A is adding to the woes

Yeah that happened a grand total of two times
Nice of you to show your ignorance, as usual.

He's the best hack we have tried so far in recent years.:)))

Name one player that can replace fakhar ? Mostly our domestic batsmen are hacks so what ? Sharjeel 1.0 was also a heck then he become better

In all honest, Shehzad is a much better player than fakher if he just sorts out his mental problems.

Bobby now this is getting interesting.

Nothing to fear we still have Shehzad out there :))

Can't believe people are calling Fakhar a hack. The important thing is, he's come good in every single match that we needed him to. Hen the team is winning, you back him to take risks and not change his game according to the situation.
It's the shots he resorts to when things aren't going his way- he becomes very hack-ish, swinging at everything across the line. Now look at that shot he played to get bowled, what in the world was he trying to do?

That shape and swing did the trick otherwise he hit the same shot to Rabada in CT 17

OK, im not sure about this shot selection with Shahzad. Very strange

Ideal platform for Malik. He will bash the spinners and people will label him as power-hitter and a must for next WC in England where he is bound to fail.

Damning statistic about our performance in the Powerplay overs in T20Is there.

:))) :)))

The discussion was only about T20s but you had to bring in ODIs to make a point.

This is what happens when you play negative cricket.

Match would almost be over if Pakistan played with intent.

Aman does that screenshot also include the number of New Zealand World Cup and Champions Trophy wins ?

:))) :)))

Just a minute ago you defended Sarfaraz's captaincy by saying we won 9 ODI's in a row...Why not stick to T20's then??

Highest win %age since T20 world cup 2016 goes to Pakistan

Sharjeel was good. He could put fast bowlers wherever he wanted to. Too bad we lost a gem to corruption.

Our ODI batting line up is pretty messed up to be honest. In the middle order we have Baber, malik,Hafeez and Sarfraz as our power hitter and then the tail starts. This means Pakistan has no other choice but to rely heavily on layers like Fakher to work.

We should learn from England. Their ODI side may not have great power hitters but it is so perfectly balanced that you won't be surprised if they chase down 400.

That was a different discussion. This is a different discussion. :shhh

It's far more impressive to chase it down that quickly in ODIs :)))

And 3-4 doesn't = grand total of 4. Fact is we've chased totals down 8 times within 15 overs.

6 within 12.2 overs.

Was that the question?

Yeah the question was only about T20s and I said a grand total of two times and you could only find four instances of which you yourself admit are marginal.

:salute

You love memes with a man putting a finger on his mouth :)) :)) why dont you do everyone on match threads a favour by applying it on yourself instead of constantly trolling Pakistan fans with your hate

Tbh if Fakhar is a hack as some posters are saying then Jason Roy is no less and to some extent Alex Hales as well but they are pretty important components of England's limted over squad

I know right? I mean it's not like he won Man of the Series in the last T20I series we played or anything... oh wait :ba

too early..lol playing against WXI proves everything OKAY!!... mark this and wait and watch he is not a t20 player

You do realize it's a lot more difficult to chase down totals that quickly in ODIs? :))

I never said it was constrained to T20s, I said I remember McCullum and Ryder/Guptill chasing down totals with 10-12 overs.

Sharjeel also failed in the UAE. These slow and low pitches don’t suit these kind of batsmen.

Dubai and Sharjah don't deserve to be compared to the deplorable venue that is Abu Dhabi. At least there you can mostly hit through the line of the ball.

Here there's hardly any pace or carry in the wicket so batsmen cannot easily time or play their shots fluently.

Agree with you some guys want decent pitches where ball comes to bat quite nicely. Sharjeel failed against lankans in his first few series in uae then in psl he tured it on and after that we played all matches outside uae so we dont know how much he improved.

You are just changing goal posts after you couldn't present sufficient evidence to refute what I said.

Playing against WI means nothing, playing against Srilanka means nothing and so is the case with playing against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. So only teams few lf our players should be playing against are Aus, SA, Eng and India or may be NZ.

So I guess players should boycott series against some of the teams as performances against them mean nothing....

I dont know why we are not batting first we are chasing for last few games

You said "not sure when they'll learn".... you were expecting for him to be dropped after winning the MOS award in the previous series? :))

He's also the 5th ranked T20I batsman....

Shadab looks like a real happy guy Ma sha Allah.

Malik saab playing on a different pitch compared to everyone else.

Great shot :four

I just checked, your guru Sarfaraz hasnt scored more than 5 runs in a limited overs innings since the champion's trophy

Still hundred times more valuable for the side than Shehzads and Akmals.

Infact Saifi can score ducks in his next twenty innings and still will be more valuable for the side than those two ever were.

there is a way to do everything. Not dropped "rested" If he is your asset save it for bigger formats lets give other bench players a go at these t20s against weaker side especially.

Gifter is here... Shaba Perara bhai get Malko to make it more interesting

Even if he scores 50 runs in his next 10 or 20 innings so what ? He will still be the captain

may be but they are good hacks. They can dominate fast bowling pretty well which is all you need from your openers to give you a flying start. Fakher is a poor hack as most of the times he is looking for slogs with eyes closed and he is not as dominate against fast bowling either.

Shahzad has scored 150 runs in his last 4 T20 innings. sarfaraz has got about 5

Regardless, 3 doesn't equal 2.

And the point of us chasing totals down totals within 8-12 overs more than twice stands, whether you include ODIs or not.

You're wrong on all counts as usual.

Those 5 runs are worth more than Shehzad's 150. Well done Saifi

The MVP of the side
