Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat.

I am positive Pakistan Will, i hope we have a more aggressive powerplay and i would like them to actually clean up Sri Lanka not let it drag for 50 overs
 
Records and stats don't matter when it comes to Pakistan. They could lose to anyone on any given day.

Think some fans may be overdoing it a bit.

True. Especially if we are asked to bowl first. Pak batting could collapse in a matter of few overs under lights.

People claiming Rashid can be a good selector Ahmed Shehzad is a very dangerous player
This guy is same as Ramiz Raja. Bias and lack of knowledge
 
Everyone criticises Waqar, but let's not forget it was him who kicked Shehzad out of the team.

Not sure what Arthur seems in him.
 
Ahmed Shehzad is a dangerous player...in the Pakistan's guide in how not to bat while opening.

Wasn't there a story that Inzi wanted a "more" reserved opener to partner with Fakhar Zaman as not to have two aggressive openers?

I think that's why they supposedly rested Azhar and played the equally poor Shehzad.

Ahmed Shahzad was a good find. But don't know what happened to him. I saw his inning against SA. I do feel he needs a proper season in domestic plus a good batting coach help. Someone like Ijaz Ahmed could be a good mentor.
 
Just get around 280 then Sri Lanka will have no hope of chasing it.
 
Why Management dont try Mohammed Rizwan as an opener. He didnt get enough chances plus he is a decent batsmen.
 
I recon this is Shahzad's last chance in ODI cricket. Bhanja is waiting around the corner, and so is Azhar Ali
 
Fakhar failing to put away the bad balls but looks to play risky on the good ones
 
Fakhar plays with ideology that says, "The best place to bat is always the other end.." - Wish more of our players believed in this.
 
Ahmed Shehzad already blocking easy balls. Most likely looking for a selfish 50.
 
Another boundary ball missed. It really doesnt matter if you give Shahzad room or not, he cant score a run even if they were handed to him
 
Shehzad keeps playing his favourite shot- straight to the fielder.
 
Ive counted 3 leg side boundary balls missed by Fakhar. Really needs to be putting those away, not good enough from a player of his quality

That is his weakness and the bowler knows that, that is why he is bowling there.

Another boundary ball missed. What do these guys do in the nets? Whats the point of netting in the morning if you cant put simple boundary balls on flat pancakes for 4
 
How we would have loved to have Sharjeel Khan here opening with Fakhar, but this is Pakistan, the best ones are always out of the team for various reasons.

Will be ideal if we keep winning and Shehzad fails for management lol. Shehzad's only taking the place of Azhar while he's injured, will be problematic if an opener plays and outperforms Azhar, which wouldn't be that hard to do given Azhar doesn't exactly excel in ODIs in Strike rate or even average.
 
Shahzad and Babar at the crease, 250 brigade in the house!
 
Don't expect Shehzad to survive this over. Maybe may sneak a lucky single off an edge.
 
This Gamage guy is a bit underrated. I noticed this in the last 2 games including Tests. He runs in and knows how to hit a length with decent pace and accuracy.
 
Good - today I replaced Fakhar with Ahmed in Fantasy team :(
 
Look how afraid Shehzad is of trying to the ball over the infield.
