i dont know why but i have this feeling that sami is going to do well in this game on a low bounce wicket
that's a nice feeling
on a side note....i am dead tired and will have to leave my house at 6:30 in the morning again ....which is only about 4 hours away!

why doesn't sami bowl yorkers anymore ?

it's clearly his best delivery but he hardly ever bowls one now.

gone !!!

after getting numerous inside edges previously .. one finally crashes on to his stumps.

Sami bowling crappy dibbly-dobblys. Gets a fluke wicket with an inside edge.

largely agreed ....

but the ball moved enough to enduce an error from the batsman.

I agree.. the Karachi crowd actually MAKES me want to stay up to watch the game, its a funny thing how much a crowd can make you want to watch a game..atleast to me.

I guess the neurons started to function for a second or two. Surprising.

Who said Razzak does not make an effort that fielding was for sure good effort.

that's a weird style of bowling by SAM but oh well he got a wicket!

btw..

the karachi crowd is by far the best crowd in Pakistan.
ummm are we forgetting about a city called Faisalabad?

When I made the comment, I was wondering how many posts it would take for someone to mention Faisalabad. Took more than a thought. So now, I didn't forget Faisalabad.

oh well....who cares about the best crowds as long as we all try to passionately support our team as PAKISTANIS ...and respect out opponents!

14.3 Mohammad Sami to Chanderpaul, no run, superb ball, pitching on the perfect length adn shaping away from the left-hander, Chanderpaul got squared up and the ball rips past the outside edge, the Pakistanis shout a loud appeal but the umpire says not out

was this out?

Why do they keep saying Sami has pace? He never had guile, and now he doesn't have pace either. Rameez needs to accept this and move on.

Windies well set to launch a big score

Wickets are needed

if they do not lose any more wkts they will start to go for it around 30th over. Lara, SmitH and Morton still to come so they can afford that this early.
Our hope is to take wkts at regular intervals

fielding and fielding placing have generally been good. We need to control the extras though.
It will be interesting to see Rehman. He is on now.

True test for Rehman in this match where the wicket is not very helpful.
If he does well then he has a sure spot to SA and maybe WC

naseem ashraf in the commentary box.

must say he is very well spoken.

Lovely square cut by Chanders for 4, followed by a single.

thats 50 to Chanderpaul

I am very impressed by Nasim Ashraf's grammer, posture. Decent man he is.

end of over 28. WI 128 for 3.

Another wicket for Pakistan soon would be great.

Rehman to continue

Where do you guys think Malik will bat? 3 or 6?

I am guessing that Faisal and Malik are the interchangable ones, or is Akmal also involved?

Tidy stuff from Rehman, no loose stuff at all.

3 from that over.

Nasim Ashraf talking about pitches and the preparation for the SA tour.

woah quote of the day

naseem just said about rehman...

"Not only is he a great find in one dayers but even more in tests"

is he in fact saying that he will replace kaneria ?

wow !!

Razzaq bowling a poor line here. Too much leg side stuff.

Second no ball of the over.

Once again poor stuff from Razzaq.

We still have to see him play a test.

He never said he'd replace Kaneria at all !!!

Another tidy over from Rehman. Only 3 singles off it.

130 for 3 after 31 overs.

Drinks !

i never said that he said that.

he did however clearly hint that rehman will be very important in test cricket !

yes, that is impressive. The mere thought of bowling to Lara when you are a spinner is a challenge. He has not been nervrous at all.

Hafeez onto bowl now, replacing the very average Abdul Razzaq.

Driven down the ground by Chanders for 1.

Ashraf saying that Woolmer has done an excellent job over the past 3-4 years.....Woolmers only been in charge for about 2.5 years.

4 singles from the over so far.

Final ball of the over from Hafeez is hoiked for 1. Some ugly but effective strokeplay from Chanderpaul

oh give me a break, you are finding little techincal points to pick on him. OMG he forgot to mention that he is a Doctor. What a tool. Ashraf is right in what he is saying...you cant blame the coach as much as Pakistanis do!

Take it easy... I think Ashraf speaks very very well, agree with most of what he says. Patricularly glad to hear he wants to revitalise cricket at the grassroots level in Pakistan.

Easy pickings here for the Windies batsman. They are being allowed 4 or 5 easy singles every over here.

I do like the guy. He is smart about the game and knows what he is doing. He made the most of his stay. He has left an impression on me.

This wicket looks a belter. A bit of spin, but easy paced and flat.

Lara goes for a pull shot misses it.

142 from 34 overs.

Akmal trying to lift the troops with some encouragement.
