Azhar has upped his game as far as strike rate is concerned but he is still untested against quality bowlers.

Hafeez is unable to find gaps ..resorting to slogs and tuks. Wondering how after 15 y years of international cricket he still struggles to find gaps even in good form.

Another player same problem. Not being able to rotate strike

Azhar Ali on fire here but I am so against this opening pair.

Both are slow starters, we need an aggressive opener (an Afridi / Mukhtar / Nazir) who can get us to fiery starts. Yes it's risky to lose an early wicket, but in today's cricket, a quick start is a MUST.

where are the Azhar haters? I have a right mind to dig up the old Azhar hate threads and name and shame!!

Azher follows misbah

He answers his haters with his performance rather than media talks

many question his SR and when now it is gone.. they question his batting against quality bowlers.. didnt they see he was the only player to score 93 runs against ENGLAND during the tour of spot fixing fiasco in 2010 ...

Sean Williams really has some big potential and could easily become the next Brendan Taylor for Zimbabwe.

Our batting line up is too slow. Yes these guys are getting a move on now and the run rate is healthy.

But OVERALL these 2 are slow starters, Haris and Asad Shafiq are pretty slow too. We need either Mukhtar or Nauman Anwar.

This is a 400 run wicket. had we had babar azam, rizwan, umar akmal and probably shehzad, we might hv score our first 400 plus score.

 I am talking about ODIs here and u come up with an example from tests.

blah blah...on these flat wickets and most ODI wickets he'll do fine since he's already played against the best in tests!!

What are u crying for? I just said he needs to continue performing against sides other than Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Am i wrong in saying this?

Even though I spent my childhood years in the 50+ summers of Dubai, Im finding it hard to relate with the 40+ current temperature there in comparison to the 13 degrees here.

You can only play what's in front of you. He has only played against Bang and Zim so far. Won't take much to outperform his opening partner against good bowling attacks.
