Asad Shafiq is garbage. Can't bat, can't run between the wickets either.

Seems like they don't want to get Shafiq out! otherwise this run out looked very easy!

I hate fake accents, and I'm not a burger.

Whats a burger?

BTW I dont know what my accent is but people seem to think that its fake. But I dont try anything. Watched a lot of animated dark comedy over the years and thats probably influenced my accent.

Shafiq always playing the same classy cut shot... Problem is, it always goes to the fielder

How on Earth does this guy average 60 in List A?

I would play Fawad over this guy, at least Fawad can buy some runs against minnows.

Burger is Pakistani slang for young people who are inferiority complex and try to act westernized for the sake of it. They feel embarrassed about their roots.

This is a very hard game to watch. Asad Shafiq not exactly winning the entertainment stakes here.

yah there are quite a few of them around , even pseudo african americans.

If Azhar keeps this up again Sri Lanka, England and India (if that series is on), he will be officially recognized as a world class opener.

Had a real hard time with these blokes when I was doing my A level. They r cringe worthy tbh

Asad Shafiq onto 22 (36) without a single boundary...

Who have inferiority complex **

If Azhar scores 259 more runs within this and the next innings, he'll be the FASTEST to 1k runs in the history of the game!

Shafiq is batting excellent according to the situation.

No need to up the gears.

Srilanka wont be much of a challenge for him atm.

I think his first test will be against england next year in england.

Lot better from Asad. Keep going. Make your ton a not out and get your avg to over 30.

Asad will end this innings with an 85+ SR.

Rizwan should replace Sarfraz, probably will in the next match.

What is a fake accent?
Most people misuse this term.
In my case, I can do a number of accents, be it carribean, texan american, new yorker, scottish as I HV a valence for voice acting.

Even here in the UK I HV fooled quite a few that I m an american, which validates the authenticity of*it.
However, back when i was in pak, people used to just tell me that I m faking it, even though I myself knew the correct usage of the vowels and consonants.

This is just to say that calling somebody's accent fake is also a case sometimes of sour grapes, which is once again motivated by an inferiority complex

realistically speaking its possible for Azhar. Make another 70 runs today and about 120 in the next innings to achieve the record

In sha Allah next game:

Rizwan for Sarfaraz/Shafiq(depending on this innings)

Babar for Hafeez

Junaid for Sami

Imad for whoever.

For some people yes it is fueled by inferiority complex, but some people here do like to sound cool by faking their accents, but a fair ace accent is very easy to spot and makes you look like a moron.

Mamoon what if shehzad would HV been playing with asad's strike rate. U clearly HV positive bias for shafiq

what's up with the acronym "HV"? too much effort required to type "have" in small letters? burger much?

I think Shafiq can improve if he is given a consistent run for 2 years in the same position like Shehzad.

Just saw this on Cricinfo.

An explosion - reportedly caused by a transformer - was heard near the Gaddafi stadium, close to the first security ring at least 800m from the ground. The incident happened about an hour ago and there is no cause for panic. Our correspondent at the ground, Umar Farooq, says the match has been unaffected.

Azhar missed out on three consecutive hundreds, should have got one in the last game, it was there for the taking.

Its a phone setting that is messed and I don't know how to correct it. Please excuse me if it was offensive in any manner

Asad either plays on the back-foot or comes down the pitch. He needs get a good stride and play on the front-foot a bit more.
