Pakistani Team: What does the future hold?

Hi, while I was watching cricket match with England and it got me thinking:

We are lost even before we have started innings. And what's astonishing is even though it should be left to 50:50 probability, we can be almost certain of this game's result provided rain doesn't muck it up.

So, i remembered i used to had this exact same feeling in regards to our batting 5 years ago, around last world cup. And the world cup before. What is truly devastating is that, we haven't improved to the point where we could give our team a chance while predicting with 320+ score.

I honestly want to know, what is our team & management trying to achieve in cricket? Because we go in there, and play like last time. Are the players & coaching staff just riding it along without improving upon themselves? Why is there no homework? Why do we feel like we are the only team without any intent? Where is our pride?

What are your thoughts?

Note: You can quote me in future that I said it here, the same old story will continue in next world cup. And that's just sad, as a Pakistani

Yeah, I can't predict for future, but I can certainly predict when it comes to Pakistan. It's not gonna happen and I am commenting based on my past 20 years of experience watching cricket.

Quite demoralising post - I hope OP isn’t trying to score some points here

I am not sure why so doom & gloom - yes, it’s a day when Poms have hammered PAK attack like net practice (& it’s a day when a BD junior team has beaten PAK juniors by 40% margin), but we should expect a turn around soon. As of now future stands like -

1. One of top 2-3 batsman in Babar
2. The next Lance Kluesner in fast bowling all-rounder Faheem Ashraf
3. World’s best fast bowler in 3 years (guess who)
4. The next Waquar Younis
5. A prodigy in making through Shadab Khan
6. A squad that has hate in heart & fire in eyes against any defeat
7. A Josh Butler role player has in Asif Ali
......

And I have missed few for sure.

Nothing is going right. Domestic isn't producing quality players. Selectors are corrupt. They select the worst players possible, even a kid could do a better job. The team management doesn't understand basic cricket. So even before playing the match we are at massive disadvantage because of corruption and incompetence.When someone suggests a way to improve Pakistan cricket the buffoon in charge loose their minds.

Unless we get rid of corrupt and incompetent people, and try to makes changes to the domestic and improve it, there is very little hope. The cycle will continue, and nothing will change.

Pakistan Cricket is heading in the way of Pakistan Hockey, still stuck in the old ways of the 90's and early 2000's whereas the rest of the world has kicked on to the next level.

We keep repeating the same mistakes game after game and go in with the same formula in every game. Players who start of with a bang regress. To be honest, the lack of quality players is catching up as well.

Cricket has evolved just like any other sport but we are still stuck in our rigidness no planning no preparation lack of quality players n blah blah we still play 80s style cricket its even unfair with english spectator who have spent££ to watch our out of style play
