Awful. Can we just win one game against them please???

Pakistan team are on Holidays, taking selfies etc... instead of taking this tour seriously. I guess if their World Cup qualification place was in jeapody, perhaps preparation would have been different. Really dissapointed with this team during this tour as I would have expected some fightback.

It is a matter of one Fakhar innings, or one Hasan fifer. The whole team will click. We are making NZ look better than they really are. Guptil, Munro, Taylor and Kane in batting and Boult and Santner in bowling are the only good players they have. The rest are bang average (don't mention Southee there is a reason he has ODI average of 33).

NZ have been Pakistan’s whipping boys

I remember NZ used to always lose to Pak back in 90's. Times have changed. NZ have a lot of match winners in their LOI squad. Pak has none. Hasan and Amir on their day can destroy opposition. But they are either out of Form or the novelty has worn out (Hasan Ali).

Whatever the conditions in NZ may be, if Boult and Southee can swing the ball, then so should Amir, Hasan, Rumman etc. Both teams are playing on the same pitch..

NZ is a tough touring place. Even the mighty aussies got canned in ODI by them in the mid 2000s. They chased 330 plus twice in a row.

NZ is a very good team in NZ right now. PPers shouldn't read too much into this series.

Pretty dismal record tbh.

As said, NZ are currently one of the best odi sides in the world.

In tests, however, they are behind the ones who are in top four.

Sadly, the cult of seniority and baffling selections hampering the team performance have not been better exemplified than this tour.

NZ have been Pakistan’s whipping boys

When was that btw?
1988/89 yes [Miandad team],
90s yeah [Wasim & Waqar], New Zealand was windy but had dull and slow wickets where the 2 Ws used to reverse swing a metre.

New Zealand has lost tests but won all odi series against Pakistan,

In 2001 3-2 against Moin Khan XI

In 2004 4-1 against Inzamam XI[incl. Razzaq], Inzamam was in poor form thruout and the reason behind that loss as well like our current one.

In 2011, Pakistan won 3-2 [incl. Razzaq and Afridi]but Pakistan had few hiccups, similar collapses [getting out on 120-130 score] and dot ball game preventing us to go past 300. Fortunately Jesse Ryder did'nt play the whole series. And faced likes of Kyle Mills, Styris and Oram bowling. Southee was their strike bowler rofl who got hit by Sohail Tanvir in the end over for an easy win.Tanvir was dropped next match and tour.

Post 2013 after England won the odi series every team struggled there. India 0-4 [2014], Australia 0-2 [2017], only South Africa has won there 3-2[2017]. England is to arrive there and it won't be easy for them also.

New Zealand has smashed pretty much every team at home. They beat a strong India side 4-0 FGS. Only South Africa have been able to best them.

They are one of the most dangerous sides at home and they will be quite decent away as well. Sodhi and Santner are very good bowlers, who will be a handful on slower wickets.

If they get a dynamic batsman instead of the hack Munro at the top of the order to partner Guptill, they can be unstoppable.

Lol most of us thought the series would be 3-2 either way, damn.. we expected so much from this team, and we've been brought back to earth.

True, and who cares if NZ smashed other teams at home as if that justifies our own phaintey. We need to get out of this loser mentality.

Exactly, what kind of justification is that if you want to be among the best teams in the world. Focusing on other teams losing too, will never put you in the top tier of teams, you've got to do something different to be better.

NZ are good at home . Usually we do well in NZ. We shouldn't be getting whipped like this.

I wonder if we had full strength squad with Imad, Junaid & Shinwari, would have made any difference. I guess probably NOT, as its our Batting which is inept, bowling is sub standard.

Ohh god thats horrible. 25 Loses and no win . Thats kind of streak 25-0.
Pakistan management and team seriously look in to this and start winning matches there.

Pakistan's last 8 tests against NZ

Lost - 7 ; Won - 1

Just goes to show how much better NZ has become as a team in the last 7 years or so. Historically, they used to get whipped by Pakistan just about everywhere

Before 2016, Pakistan had won 13 test series against NZL, and NZL only had won 2 series. Now its 13-5 to Pakistan.

Where are those guys who were saying I was wrong about our last results in SENA?

I remember vividly the days when I was in NZ watching the NZ team soiling their pants while getting blown away by the likes of Shoaib Akhtar/Mohammed Sami/ the pacy chucker Shabbhir Ahmed, was unbelievably exhilarating.while the likes of Yasir Hameed and co was actually smashing NZ bowling for fun...
The days when Shoaib Malik was rightly batting at around 9 in the batting line up lol.

NZ tried to replicate some pace as Bond was injured so they tried to hype Ian Butler as the next best thing.

Oh how times have changed
