Pakistan probably along side W.I i recon must be the worst team when it comes to playing dot balls in ODIs, we get rid of dot ball kings like Azhar Ali, Ahmed shehzad, hafeez and you think problems might go away. Instead in come new prime culprits imam ul haq and babar Azam and the problem continues. 47 dot balls out of 60 early on in 1st game vs India and 150 in game overall. Into 2nd gsme vs India and same issues. Allowing bowlers to settle abd pressure to build.

What are the coach and captain working on with these players. All this great fitness etc.. yet cant do basics of turning over the strike on regular basis

It's a worrying thing to see how little we rotate the strike in limited overs cricket. If not for the coloured kit, you'd think it's a test match.

So much stress has been given on fitness lately inPakistan cricket (which is a good thing to see but I don't see Sarfraz's tummy getting any smaller) but it doesn't seem like there's been much talk about taking those singles.

It has been Pakistan’s problem for the last decade. But, no coach or player has been able to identify and rectify it.

Pakistan is mentally very very weak team. The dot ball is result of pressure they put on them self due to this half of the game is lost even before a single ball is bowled. As far is concern this game is already gone. Even if we win against Bangladesh we will not be able to win against India with this mentality.

You need to improve your domestic system.Even we were like this in the 90's barring Sachin. And see our batsmen now.Even a has-been Dhoni would still rotate strike with his ugly shots.

This. Fear of getting out results in the blockathon that we get to witness in such games.

To be fair, Mickey has voiced his concern on several occasions. Not sure what's been done about it though.

We just don't deal with chronic problems. Our fielding has not improved much and the running between wickets remains as abysmal as ever. We're still in 90's mode, other teams have left us well behind.

Yes it's a massive problem with Pakistan's batsmen but I don't think any coach can do anything about it. It can be inproved only and only through individual practise using visualization and light/strong batting grips. A coach can't teach you this, as an individual you have to work on your known weaknesses.

This isn’t a simple problem that a coach or some one can fix.

This is a problem with the way our batsmen bat so it will take much more than just a little adjustment or coaching to fix.

Problems like these take a long time to fix and sometimes you’re unable to fix it.

In three overs, five 4s, 1 single and 9 dot ball.

I said this in other thread also. Pakistani players are just unfit or lazy.. They need to start working hard on fitness where they don't feel tired running and need to start enjoying running..

It can't be genetics so it's just mindset and food which needs to be changed. It doesn't help when ex players come out in interviews and say they didn't focus on fitness.. This results in today's players having a mindset if those guys didn't work on fitness we don't have to either.

Strike rotation is key for 95% of the batsman. Players who are strong and can afford to have a high for ball % because they make it up with their power hitting are an exception. But Pakistan doesn't have such a player so the midnset needs to change. It won't change in this generation it's already gone. You need the next generation of cricketers the U-23 to start enjoying running..

They should emulate Kohli and not inzimam or Saeed Anwar.

Again, We are seeing heaps of dots from babar on flattest Pitch in the world yet I hear people say ' he is a stabilizer ,we need him' . People need to wake up and see why this batting line up can't outscore top opponents on flattest pitches
