If my memory serves me well:

2009

Lost to Australia, 3-2

Lost to New Zealand, 2-1

2010

Lost to South Africa, 3-2

2011

Beat Sri Lanka, 4-1

2012

Lost to England, 4-0

Lost to Australia, 2-1

2013

Lost to South Africa, 4-1

Beat Sri Lanka, 3-2

2014

1-0 down to Australia in a 3 match series.

In case I haven't missed any;

We have played 36 ODIs, Won 14 and Lost 22

That's utterly disgraceful and shambolic for our so called home record and yet we continue to blow the trumpet of our so called best bowling attack especially spinners, but what is the point when you can't even beat teams like Australia (soon to be thrice), South Africa (twice) and England/NZ (once) who are supposed to be relatively incompetent against spin?

For some reason, funnily enough, we have the wood over SL.

A common excuse used is that we don't play at home and if we play in Pakistan, we would do a great job but again, if my memory serves me correctly, we have lost our last 3 series in Pakistan against decent teams in embarrassing fashion.

2007 India, 4-1; South Africa 3-2

2009 Sri Lanka, 2-1

So this excuse belongs has been thrown out of the window as well and teams like Australia, South Africa, England and NZ have a a severe disadvantage against us even if they face us in India, SL or Bangladesh too because pitches in all these places are closer to Pakistan than Australia, England and NZ respectively. Thus the excuse of not playing in Pakistan is illogical because we'd be producing the same rubbish in Lahore, Karachi and Multan instead of Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

The foundation of a great team is built upon its home record. unless teams fear coming to your den and you don't feel invincible and have a certain aura about you, teams will not respect you. Fluking wins away from home here and there is minnowish behavior. All great teams of the past used their strong home record as building blocks for further success.

What's the point of gloating over a 3 match series win in SA and India when your home record is so terrible? In my opinion, we need to go back to the drawing board and construct a team that can score wins over these teams in the UAE/Pakistan even if it comes at a cost of getting drubbed overseas.

If we score a few wins over them at Home, we will start to regain some credibility and get some shape and confidence going into the team. Losing at home in such fashion is deplorable.

Yes we laugh at them, but a few HTBs and FTBs are in serious order.

Just under Misbah.... separated by team.

And then you say lack of home cricket doesn't hurt Pakistan.

It clearly is but the main issue is Misbah and team selection.

My observation which i find strange is that our Pakistani players do not like the slow nature of the UAE pitches, they prefer pitches where the ball comes on to the bat and where stroke making is easy. In UAE you can only start hitting the big shots effectively once you get your eye in and spend a huge amount of time at the wicket. The weather in UAE is not easy either, it can be pretty hot as well.

I have talked about the series in Pakistan too, we lost 3 consecutive ones at home against good teams but yes yes I know, if Umar Tendulkar and Ahmed Amla were playing along with Junaid Akram, we would have destroyed them just like we would destroy all these teams in Lahore and Karachi right now.

Sorry I forgot.

Almost 100% records for SA, Australia and England in UAE. How shameful is that?

I won't be surprised if they do less well in Bangladesh to be honest.

Which is why we will do well in AUS/NZ.

Our batsman prefer pace and bounce. They just cannot play swing or spin.

We are not good enough. Our seniors are not performing, our youngsters are not consistent and are not improving and the nepotism and friendship culture in our team is destroying us alongside this/. TBH i wouldnt mind some FTB and HTB. who cares if they fail outside UAE. We need to come and face reality that our domestic cricket are not producing that kind of talent so we must accept what we can get and create a dominance at home.

Our batsmen cannot play any bloody thing that comes out of any bloody bowler's hand in any bloody shape.

What can our batsmen play?

Pace? no

Swing? no

Seam? no

Bounce? no

Off spin? no

Leg spin? no

Left arm orthodox? no

Chinaman? haven't seen one in ages, but I can bet we'd crumble as usual. If Piyush Chawla wants to resurrect his career, he should fix a series against us.

I can feel your pain man but seriously I think you need a break from cricket.

Mamoon on what basis do you think that the likes of ua fawad shezad maqsood would not score runs in ibd lahore or karachi ?

This generation never played in pak !!

A chinaman would destroy us completely. After some time we faced a mediocre leg spinner and got destroyed so a chinaman would annihilate us completely own. The thing is i am hundred percent sure that many of our batsmen consider themselves ATG level players who have the perfect technique and perfect game to play at international level and thus do not improve at all and dont work on their weaknesses.

I think you forgot to add Pak winning series in SA last year.

There is not a world of difference between UAE conditions and Pakistan conditions. UAE is as close to home as we can get and our pathetic performance here in the last 5 years would hardly be better in Pakistan, if our last 3 home series are anything to go by.

So what do we do???????????????????????????????????????????????

Run away?

Or continue to get mentally disturbed witnessing this abomination.

Yes, thank you. I hide my joy and present it as bitter disappointment so beautifully.
