With this historic series victory, Pakistan has removed the curse of the Caribbean, but despite winning their first ever series, they have a better win loss ratio in Caribbean than India, who have won 4 series there.

Pakistan in the Caribbean won 7 lost 12 W/L ratio = 0.583
India in the Caribbean won 7 lost 16 W/L ratio = 0.438

Both teams have also won 2 tests in a series in the Caribbean only once in their history.

MashAllah but here's a question or a suggestion..
It's been 2017 - 1947 years stop comparing everything to India...

Not comparing, but just pointing out that despite this being our first ever series win in the Caribbean ( having been denied unfairly in the past), we still have a better win loss record than India there.

Oh for God's sake, Pakistan just won their first Test series in WI. Why do you need to bring India into it?!

Nothing better than rubbing salt into parodies, they would have done the same I can assure you that. But on a serious note I would always take 4 series win vs 1

On a level though id take Indias 4 series wins in WI than our record there. We broke our hoodoo In the most exciting way though.

No need for comparison, it's only India that is obsessed with Pakistan.

I think Pakistan have a better W/L ratio everywhere except perhaps OZ and SA. Pakistan test team have been better than ours historically and this is one of the reasons why.

Pakistani teams of the past have been better than Indian teams so it's not an interesting or surprising fact at all..

well it kinda is in this particular case considering you guys have won 4 series there and this was our first

i guess in 80s we competed whereas india got hammerings which has messed up the ratio for you guys

Heard Sidhu talking about it in one interview not sure how much he was exaggerating but he basically said Indian teams were scared of WI fast bowlers.. Our teams of the 80s and 90s minus few players was exceptionally garbage and deserved to get a phainta by the strongest side the world has ever seen..

India always tended to get hammered in the Caribbean (1971 was an exception), while Pakistan always competed but never could win a series there. We came close, but missed our chances in 1988 and 2000, when West Indies was much superior. India only started winning consistently in the Caribbean after West Indies went in decline (2006, 2011 and 2016) and improved their win loss ratio.

If we are talking about rubbing salt....
Guess who has a 66% of W/L. :)

P.S. I know it was an A team. Just having some fun. :)

Indian Test team was trash until 1998-2000. No wonder we struggled every where.

Since then India improved a lot. Their record will keep getting better.

West Indies only bullied India when India had a door mat team.

Every team goes through phases.

Once upon a time WI used to bully India.

Now India will beat WI 10/10 times if Weather cooperates anywhere in the world.

Thats only coz this WI side has declined so much. India in the 70's and 80's was much superior to this WI team but still got hammered by WI badly.

Comparing all your achievements to India and playing the victim. lol some things don't change for few posters.

Pakistan went into the series as favourites and good on them to win this series. WI are a poor test team but they are no pushovers, England didn't manage to win there, you did. So I'd suggest you rather enjoy this occasion and the fact that Misbah and YK got a terrific send off, rather than look to take a dig at India. -_-

Take a look at the bowling attack of that 1971 series and you will know why!

India is the only country that defeated the great invincible West Indies cricket team in a world cup finals!

in 1988 and 2000's West Indies was a weak team.

Do you have any idea of West Indies bowling line up of 70's and 80's ?

Yeah sure, a team with the bowling lineup of Marshall, Ambrose and Walsh is weak. And why are you bringing world cup here ? West Indies toured India after that world cup defeat and hammered India 3-0 in the test series and 5-0 in the one day series,Lol.

Ok guess South Africa should get a mention too for winning no WC's but having a tremendous ODI WL ratio ,second best I guess.

India were embarrassed when it counted at the Test level against the greatest cricket team of all time while Pakistan did well against that incredible WI's team, but hey they still got their 4 series wins over the teletubby version of the West Indies so I guess second best :(

baseless arguments of "stop comparing to india" , we have a supporting history and y shld it not be discussed?

how many times is there a comparison of Man U and Liverpool and Arsenal... does any1 talk abt Man U / Chelsea? no,... so its in every sport.. live with it

also, would be interesting to see what the pre-2000 stats are... when the WI were the mighty ones....

Why this obsession with bringing India into every discussion?

I agree it's pretty pathetic. I guess it is our way of trying to remain relevant as a cricketing country. I still remember when India won in WI last year, all of us in Pakistan were saying "big deal, Wi are a crap team". And we could barely beat this same crap team and were within 1 over of drawing thes series.

4 series wins>1. W/L records are meaningless in this case.

Why are you pretending to be a Pakistani ? when you clearly aren't.

I wish posters would maintain at least a minimal touch with reality.

Fact: In the last century, India was ranked #1 in Tests for 15 months (1973-74), 6 months (1980-81), and 3 months (1995).

In comparison Pakistan was ranked #1 for only 2 months (1988).

You simply don't become the #1 ranked team in the world if you are "trash".

I agree, India had a pretty good team in the 70's and 80's.

Well this thread says otherwise. You can remain delusional forever though.Your choice. Both sides are obsessed with each other.Fact.

It speaks volumes about your worldy perception tat you think my comment was specifically about PP.
