The Pakistan Super League 2021 kicks off on 20th February, and to add to your fun of watching the matches, PakPassion also offers you the chance to participate in a predictions competition. Get the expert within you working and make predictions for every match.

Does anyone know the rules regarding deadlines for the picks?

For example, round 1 is the 6 games from 20-24 Feb. Do I have to make my picks for all 6 games before the first game on the 20th starts?

If so, is there a specific deadline for that e.g. all 6 picks must be made before the toss of the first game, or before the first ball of the first game is bowled?

You can pick each game on the day, either just moments before the toss or before the first ball is bowled. You don´t have to pick all at once.

As for the exact time of the deadline, I´m about 90% sure that it gets locked after the toss but before the first ball. I say this because their website states 15 PM deadline according to the time in Germany, and that is when the first ball will be bowled instead of the toss taking place.
 
and if you are unable to make your pick, System will make your pick according to all users' preference. Occasionally 2-3 times at max, not forever.

You can pick each game on the day, either just moments before the toss or before the first ball is bowled. You don´t have to pick all at once.

As for the exact time of the deadline, I´m about 90% sure that it gets locked after the toss but before the first ball. I say this because their website states 15 PM deadline according to the time in Germany, and that is when the first ball will be bowled instead of the toss taking place.

Myself, [MENTION=100918]Square Drive[/MENTION], and another member of the competition benefited heavily from the the wide ball which finished yesterday´s second match. The ball wasn´t counted, of course, and Islamabad hence won by an over to spare, as otherwise it would´ve been five or less balls, and we three wouldn´t have got the extra point for getting the margin right.

Not really, if the winning runs were scored on the first ball of the last over, scores would have remained the same

I had no idea that I could wait this long before picking my team. I pick my team a day before and never thought that I would be able to pick the winner just moments before the match starts or right after the toss happens. Going forward, I will wait till the toss happens :)

Haha. Yeah, you should´ve read my posts earlier. I´ve been into these competitions since over a decade now, and all that I can say is that they make for immense fun, giving an added touch to the on-field action that we watch. Great fun, really.

I´m back at the top as the joint-leader of the table.

However, as you all must be aware of it anyway, the PSL has been postponed for now due to the increased number of Covid positive cases amidst the players and other staff members etc.

Haha, I got massively lucky yesterday! I got the second point for getting the margin right by the smallest, smallest, margin of just ONE RUN. Wow! I wouldn´t have got it had Peshawar made just one more run, as they would´ve then lost the match by nine runs.
