So then, that is the end of that! If I was told before the tournament that the only thing that would stand me and winning this competition would an overthrow from Guptill which would deflect off Stokes bat to roll away to the boundary, I would´ve taken it. The whole world is crying that England got the greatest piece of luck of all times in sports, and logic therefore drives the fact I just lost to luck. I was just being unlucky. I´ll take it and I´m mightily proud of my effort, especially how consistent I´ve been in these competitions the last 11 years. I´m still the Australia of these, haha! 
There were some masterstrokes on my part in the tournament. Correctly predicting four out of five wins of Pakistan was one, going for Bangladesh over the West Indies was an absolute blinder. Sri Lanka´s win over the West Indies gave me a point for correctly predicting the margin too, when all the members from the top on the other hand picked the West Indies to win. Going for South Africa over New Zealand too was one brave call, a very brave call, and it went almost right if not for South African fielders´ habit of wilting under pressure and also if de Kock had heard the edge off Williamson´s bat and had they reviewed it.
My greatest piece of prediction though still came in this thread itself, in my above post. My "Random early morning feeling" from 29th May wasn´t all that wrong after all, was it? A tournament of "almosts" for me, in the end.

I shall never forget the honour and the respect bestowed upon me by the authorities over here. Here´s hoping that we can have this competition for next year´s PSL too! I wouldn´t mind being the manager again!
