The PCB is set to add two new franchises as the PSL expands from six to eight teams, with the auction scheduled for January 8 in Islamabad ahead of the March 26–May 3 tournament.

Askari Welfare trust should step in and buy a franchise (not sarcasm). Rawalpindi Rams were actually one of the most famous franchises in Faysal Bank T20 and were well followed & liked.

There's also a cricket ground being built in ISB which will be ready by 2027 (initial estimates) so there's a stadium that's also vacant for the Rawalpindi crowd & it won't dilute the brand.

The new stadium should go to Islamabad United. Any Rawalpindi team should use Pindi stadium.

Let's see who will b the 2nd bidder , and what cities will it be , likely Faisalabad will be one of them

Reading it back again, can see that I worded it strangely but meant the same thing. Islamabad stadium should go to Islamabad United and Rawalpindi to Rawalpindi Rams.

With the current state of affairs, the PSL can do the funniest thing right now and announce a Kashmir team.

Just imagine Muzaffarabad or Mirpur in the PSL!

They are not delusional like Pakistan poster's. Naming a team based on Kashmir means end of overseas player's for PSL. Jo kachra players aa rhe hai wo bhi banned ho jaayenge 🤣🤣🤣🤣

What happened to KPL ? Ddi you even know that?

#Haihimmat? :klopp :kp

To be honest, i am personally disappointed by the Bids. I was hoping some big shot Arab, Chinese, European, American non Pakistani CEO's would have expressed interest but that is far from the case. The PSL can only grow if it attracts interest from foreign investors.

So Jazz and Inverex most likely new owners?
no. The OP made a weird thread title

Basically, PCB was releasing the name of the bidders that pass pre qualification. Inverex was probably the first one to submit its envelop.

The auction would be held between these 10 companies free style.

You need to research on Jazz

They will never bid on a ten year license, the only possibility would have been if the franchises were sold in perpetuity. Ultimately if you look at the Multan Sultans situation, that too would have dissuaded potential investors.

Saudi investors have no real interest to invest in Pakistan. Chinese have been reluctant because of the recent past. This has so much to do with the political instability as well as the overall long-term economic outlook for Pakistan and not with the ten year or life time license type nitty gritty details.

Just as a reference, Saudi run esports corporation had a US$ 70 million prize pool for its esports world cup for 2025 alone. They have also purchased EVO tournament, invest heavily in WWE, are buying AAA game companies but won't even invest US$ 15-20 million over a period of 10 years which is literally peanuts for them (yearly around US$ 1.5 - 2 million). None of the GCU airlines even use PSL as a marketing channel which is even more surprising when frankly Emirates or Etihad brand is sometimes seen sponsoring third division teams in EU/US etc.

Hoping that Jazz & Inverex outbid everyone else. Do not want Ali Tareen to own another franchise and then do his performative activism.

Walee Technologies is the better option here.

Walee technologies is one the rising media companies in Pakistan, and have access to all the influencers here. Whatever team they will end up buying might become the most marketted team and have the highest brand value as these guys provide platform for infleuncers in Pakistan
