The 55th PCB’s Board of Governors meeting was held in Lahore on Friday. The following are the outcomes of the meeting:

Nominations committee:

To strengthen the governance structure of the PCB and in accordance with Clause 41 of the PCB Constitution 2019, the Board of Governors constituted a three-member Nominations Committee.

I guess this regime is doing a good job. Mickeys report wasn’t leaked and the interview process has been kept very confidential as well

I'm very interested in tomorrow's special introduction of the new domestic structures. If done right, this could be fantastic for Pakistan cricket in 2-3 years.

So what is the purpose of this BoG. I don't get it. What do they do that Mani or Wasim Khan or Subhan Ahmed (COO) aren't already doing?

looking forward to what comes out tomorrow from PCB.... a new era to dawn

Things look more professional but sad thing is only 8-10 people 7 of them are local are applying job positions for 4 vacancies

Cricket Australia officials, including the chief executive Kevin Roberts and the security manager Sean Carroll will arrive in Pakistan on September 17.

On a one-day visit to Pakistan, the CA officials will meet the chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ehsan Mani and the CEO Waseem Khan and they will also interact with few government officials.

Moreover, the visiting officials will receive briefing on security from the concerned authorities as Pakistan is hopeful of hosting Australia series scheduled to be played in 2022.

The PCB has been trying to revive international cricket in Pakistan and this tour is a part of the campaign.

Pakistan is looking forward to host Sri Lanka cricket team for a three-match ODI and T20I series in Karachi and Lahore respectively later this month.

I feel like this visit, PCB should focus on showing them how much they will be making and put some more in it for them. Because personally money is the only thing that attracts us.

if normal income but dangerous place, no one is going to waste their time. but if big income and hell is the place, everyone will be betting on themselves to survive hell and comeback with the big income

'A better understanding': Pakistan cricket chief ready to host Roberts

Pakistan's bid to encourage Australia to tour for the first time in more than 20 years will heighten this week when Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Roberts visits the country.

Roberts, who has been in England for the Ashes, and CA's head of security Sean Carroll will meet with Pakistan Cricket Board officials in Lahore, the first time in more than a decade a "high-level" Australian party has scoured the cricketing hot spot.

PCB chief Wasim Khan said discussions would help build "confidence" between the nations.

"The visit by Kevin Robert will be the first high-level visit by a Cricket Australia delegation in more than a decade. The PCB is viewing this as an important visit as it will help in relationship and confidence building exercise between the two boards," he said.

"The visit will help Kevin to have a first-hand look at ground realities, meeting local administration and, apart from assessing normal life here, get a better understanding of what cricket means in this part of the world.

"The PCB is confident, following this trip, the bonding between the two boards will strengthen and we will continue to work hand in glove to ensure the sport continues to grow and thrive."

The PCB does not expect Imran Khan, the former Pakistan captain and now Prime Minister, to be involved in the discussions.

The CA visit was originally to have been held when Roberts returned to England ahead of the fifth Ashes Test but the dates were changed.

"It's about building a relationship rather than working on a critical decision," Roberts said of the trip.

Australia last toured Pakistan for three Tests and three one-day internationals under then-captain Mark Taylor in 1998 but has not done so since because of safety and security issues.

Roberts has a strong relationship with Wasim Khan, the latter having worked assiduously over the past year to encourage nations to again tour Pakistan.

Pakistan will tour Australia for two Tests this summer, with the nations due to then meet again in 2022. The PCB is keen for that series to be in Pakistan and not in the United Arab Emirates, their home and away-from-home where attendances and broadcast rights fees remain an issue.

Should CA's stance on touring change, the most likely option would be for a "fly in, fly out" Twenty20 match. That could see Australia based in Dubai but make a 90-minute flight on a private jet to Karachi, play a match that night and then immediately return.

While the cricketing world wants elite cricket to return to Pakistan, safety fears abound. The PCB is confident Sri Lanka will tour for three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches in Karachi and Lahore later this month, despite the Sri Lankan government having been told of a "possible terrorist threat on the Sri Lanka team". Ten frontline Sri Lankan players have opted to not make the trip.

Sri Lanka are understandably nervous, for their team bus was attacked by 12 gunmen in Lahore in 2009. Six members of the squad were injured, while six Pakistani policemen and two civilians were killed.

Kevin Roberts was on TMS the other day. When Aggers asked him about the trip, it seemed this was more a courtesy to Wasim Khan rather than a serious look to touring Pakistan. Hope I'm wrong but that's the impression I got.
