Ever since pakistan womens cricket team came back without a win, people on facebook are bashing sana mir and asking for her ouster.

Now i dont understand one thing.

How do people know Sana is the problem even without watching the sport itself?

Maybe the problem could be team selection or something else. Yet everyone has become an expert even without watching a single game.

Well i havent seen one post yet on facebook about people demanding sanas ouster. People arent that interested to be honest.

Yes. The Pak women need these people to watch them play and need to bring about changes in order to make this happen.

Bro if the women team was winning no one would still watch them(in pakistan)

They are allowed to ask,its PCB's prerogative to not let that happen.

women's cricket is a joke. i am not against women competing in sports (i love women tennis) but cricket is not a sport for them.

the standard is awful. a gully cricketer in pak would dominate women's cricket but even the best male tennis players in pak will lose against the best female players in the world.

the standard and skills of the pak women team is a total joke. it is embarrassing and the pcb is simply wasting money on them. also our culture is such that women will never take professional cricket seriously in pak.

When I sit to watch cricket, I expect a certain standard of sporting entertainment that I am mostly used to. If however I don't get that, I will most probably lose interest as the said sporting entertainment is not what I expect from the spectacle in my view.

The same is with Women's cricket and before anyone jumps on the cannon and starts bashing me for being sexist I would like to reiterate that I am not in any way or form against Women participating in any types of sports.

That being said it's all about quality of the sports being at display. In men's cricket, most Test playing nations have someone clocking 140kph or a spinner in the league of Yasir/Ashwin/Herat while this is the kind of stuff people come to watch and pay good money to view regularly.

Added to these feats, sides like India, SA, Eng, Australia all have ATG level batsmen coming one after the other so there is stiff competition between bat and ball and this is something that appeals to the masses. Forget Pakistan, women's cricket in general is so God Damn novice in nature that I am pretty sure an U-19 guy from any of the top cricket teams would become a undisputed GOAT if he's ever allowed to participate - That's the gulf of difference between the two genres.

I tried watching a Pakistan's game once where the women were participating I believe with Eng/Ind (not too sure, can't exactly remember who the opposition was) but what I saw was just  worthy. Pakistan were bowling so I won't comment on that since we're the worst of the worst when it comes to Women's cricket but the batting team openers had ZERO TECHNIQUE of how to wield the willow and were just playing through the line as if the game was happening in my back yar :)) - I quality was so dreadful I couldn't bear to watch 3 overs of the latter.

It's only Pakistan Women team that is poor. We do not have one batter who averages more then 30 and some who average in mid 10s. So we are similar Bangladesh men's team in 2000-2010. We have to invest more rather then less so the standards will improve. Till we get players who average in high 30 or mid 40s we cannot score 250 plus. Same with bowling. Our averages are too high. We know where Bangladesh men's team can compete with most teams now.

Pakistan team did compete well with India at least for the first half! Didn't they win some T20 games against India? Women's tennis perhaps was not that great to start with but adequate measures & interest made it to reach this level. Same thing is needed for women's cricket. You will see a different level of competition and interest. You may not see 300+ scores being put up and chased. But certainly 200+ scores being defended. (We will get back to see the kind of men's cricket that was being played in 80s and 90s) Some folks may get interested in watching this stuff. Women may display different skills (in contrast to power hitting), they may swing the ball well at lower speed and may spin the ball well (you might have observed their wrist work in household activities) Their patience level is different.

Actually the professional levels of England, Australia and South African women cricket teams are pretty good. Definitely better than gully men cricketers for sure. India have also taken good steps forward. Just because Pakistan team is playing like minnow doesn't mean that you should be disheartened and boycott women cricket altogether. This looks like typical Pakistani mentality. If Indians thought like that, forget women's cricket our men's cricket should have died during the humiliating periods we suffered in 80s and 90s. Take sport like sport and don't be naive. They are not playing this game without any infrastructure, facilities and skill levels! There were many meaningless games even in the last men's ODI world cup with many minnows participating. This just happens. Perhaps Pakistan women's team should play only in T20s for some time or they may need some coaching.... something like that. Make some workaround...

The fastest women's bowler was clocking near 77-78 MPH. That's rapid for the average person.

Male gully cricketers would get wrecked.

PAK's standards need improvement but AUS/ENG/SA are filled with quality female players.
