West Indies were the first country to be messed up by IPL
They will be the first to part ways from it too.
The point is the truth, no matter how bitter it is. Why do you have a problem with the bitter truth all of a sudden? That’s what you apparently dish out here and are so proud of it.What is the point of such posts?
West Indies’ decline started about 15 years before existence of IPL, and IPL as well franchise/T20 cricket in general have greatly contributed to the only achievement of West Indies cricket of the last decade - the two WT20 titles.
West Indies cricket would have been pretty much dead if it wasn’t for T20 cricket.

There is no truth attached to it as I explained. If you want to live in your own world and blame IPL for anything and everything under the sun, that is fine. However, your delusions have no relevance in the real world.
West Indies cricket declined started in the mid to late 90’s, and since the early 2000s, they have been pretty much rubbish in Tests and ODIs.
They have had some isolated success every now and then, but they haven’t had a single stretch of 12-18 months in either format where they have played like a top side.
There could have been a shred of truth to what you said if West Indies were a top Test/ODI side before the emergence of IPL. However, that is not the case at all.
In fact, one can argue that West Indies performance in home Tests over the last few years is actually better than their performances in the early to mid 2000s.
So again - what facts are you referring to?
Everything you say holds no credibility in the real world also.
Why don’t you ask West Indies fans if they believe the IPL has destroyed their cricket or not? I really don’t have time and effort to engage with a man who has consistently lied and spread false propaganda on this forum.

West Indies have been rubbish since the late 90s. From 99 onwards, they haven't managed to play a single semifinal of the 50 over worldcup. They've also failed to win a single test series away(Excluding Bangladesh & Zimbabwe) in the last 25 years.Everything you say holds no credibility in the real world also.

But Mamoon is right here. It is because of t20 that some younger players are still coming through. Take t20 out and they will be associate level within 7-8 years. The point is the truth, no matter how bitter it is. Why do you have a problem with the bitter truth all of a sudden? If you look closely it is not actually destroying weak cricket boards. For example a 10 year old today wants to be a cricketer because he sees that he can make $1m usd for 40 days of work in IPL so he works hard to achieve that level. For that he needs to go through WICB channel by playing good club cricket, domestic cricket and then for West Indies to get noticed by IPL franchises. So if he is above average then he gets to make all this money but if he doesn’t make it to that level then he settles as a test player or domestic player for Windies so in reality all these small cricket boards are getting more cricketers coming through the system because of big pay in IPL.T20 cricket and IPL are two different things. Pakistan has T20 cricket and doesn’t have IPL. Pakistan is producing plenty of good cricketers even without IPL.
IPL is not a real competition, it’s a massive pay day. This pay day is destroying weak cricket boards when it comes to player availability and player power

I've shed blood, I've shed tears in West Indies cricket, you name it, one leg, one hand.”
He added: "It really hurts bad when we lose games and we don't get the result. I'm gutted inside for the fans, and especially for this World Cup as well."
Yes we can see by the pictures how much it hurts
He's come to an end of a majestic career, surely cut him some slack and let him celebrate.
After all, he's unlikely to play in the IPL again, same with DJ Bravo. They'll retire entirely by the end of 2022.
Ive got no time for selfish cricketers who play for themselves rather than the team
If gayle and the likes of bravo had any self respect they wouldnt have agreed to play in this tourney when theyre clearly past it

Do you think the same of Malik and Hafeez being selfish.? Should they have also made themselves unavailable for Pakistan?
Gayle and Bravo did a lot for west Indies cricket, the Board wanted them to have a farewell on the big stage. Without them West indies still would not have qualified for the second round.
WI need to get rid Of Pollard and Russell too and have some serious and committed player who are actually interested in their national side rather than just their IPL franchise.
