Three-Nation Baba Guru Nanak Kabaddi Cup begins tomorrow in Lahore: Pakistani officials welcome Indian Kabaddi team at Wagah Border

Indian team arrive in Lahore for Baba Guru Nanak International Kabaddi Cup

The three-nation Baba Guru Nanak International Kabaddi Cup is set to kick off tomorrow in Lahore with the arrival of the Indian Tigers Kabaddi Team, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Indian team, representing the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), reached Lahore via the Wagah Border, where they were warmly welcomed by officials of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation.

According to tournament organisers, the prestigious Baba Guru Nanak Kabaddi Cup will officially begin tomorrow at the WAPDA Sports Complex in Lahore.

The Iranian team had already arrived in Lahore a day earlier to take part in the tournament, which aims to promote cross-border sportsmanship and cultural harmony.

The international event is expected to draw kabaddi fans from across the country as teams from Pakistan, India, and Iran face off in a show of strength, skill, and traditional South Asian sport.

So, Indian government is okay with Kabaddi team visiting Pakistan but not cricket team. :inti

Great to see our team in Pakistan, our brotherly nation always.

Wishing them a good tournament. Hope they are not tempted by the delicious food in Pakistan, we need them fit and fine for the matches brother.

This is where Pakistanis are always on the wrong side of the road, you still don't get it. Matter of fact I am convinced you lot will never get it....

Indian team not touring Pakistan is for one purpose only; to hurt Pakistan's income stream from such a lucrative tour. Strategic decision taken by the Indian Government, you ain't making no serious dollar through us bruh!!!!!!!!!

Hardly anyone cares about Kabadi nor will it get the financial backing compared to the Indian cricket team...

I can share you the actual jerseys pics if you want.
Media can be sometimes dumb.. and anyways I have always said this sports boycott is not about equal treatment . Check up my posts on champions trophy. I don't have to keep repeating these things.

The hilarious thing is Pakistan inviting SGPC and calling it India 😅😅.

Much appreciated but unlike other respectable indian posters here won't you call BCCI move as politics rather than security drama

@Devadwal @Rajdeep won't comment on security situation in Pakistan now

If security situation in Pak is so good, why the need of this

Army and Rangers sought for enhanced security at PSL X matches

PSL X to have top-level security to protect teams and officials

The Punjab Home Department has asked the Ministry of Interior to send in the army and Rangers to help with security during the matches of the 10th edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, Geo News reported on Monday.

With international players and officials involved, the event is considered a high-profile one, so extra measures are being taken, the home department said. The security will be tight, covering not only the games but also the teams’ movements and accommodations, it added.

I think all this overprotective measures is to avoid such situations 👇

Good. Pakistan needs to keep that channel wide open, just so our former Santani brothers can see how mentally boxed in their government has made them. Isolated, indoctrinated, and fed propaganda until they forgot who their own brothers even were.

A bit off topic but why not settle Kashmir issue too? 70 plus years wasted already

It's true, so nobody can use the false security garb now

Your perspective is too one-dimensional—things aren’t always as simple as either this or that.

My initial post about why the Indian cricket team is banned from visiting Pakistan, citing domestic political considerations and economic factors, represents just one side of the story.

The security situation in Pakistan is undeniably poor, and anyone who denies that is simply deluding themselves. Cricketers are far more high-profile targets compared to relatively unknown kabaddi players, so it’s unfair to compare the security concerns faced by cricketers with those of athletes in other sports within the subcontinent.

The kabaddi players are likely traveling to Pakistan for economic reasons. They’re aware that the security situation isn’t ideal, but they’ve probably weighed the pros and cons, and for them, the financial benefits outweigh the risks.

To dismiss security concerns as mere excuses is an oversimplification. From Pakistan’s point of view, the only viable solution is to fix internal issues first. Once the nation is stabilized, security will naturally improve. With better security, the economy will also recover, making Pakistan a stronger and more attractive market. At that point, India-Pakistan relations will improve organically, regardless of which political party is in power on either side.

The real issue with India-Pakistan relations is that a large portion of the public—on both sides—is brainwashed and lacks the critical thinking needed to understand what can realistically be changed and what is beyond their control. People tend to view things through a narrow lens, often shaped by those in power who influence public perception for their own agendas.

Brother it is my Dili-Tamannah that a peace treaty is held between both nations. I have already asked for Bharat to pledge minimum 100 billion USD investment for building roads, schools and hospitals in Pakistan as a friendly gesture and as part of the peace treaty.

I have no doubt one day it will be achieved. Whether we are alive or not that day it another question but it is inevitable.

More people to people relations is the way to go brother. Ameen
