That is how it should be. Revamping Domestic Cricket, increasing fees/incentives to players, trying hard to bring cricket back to Pakistan all this is being done to make Pakistan a top team. If the results of the senior team dont reflect that after a couple of years then its fair to say all this investment of time and money is amounting to nothing.

Yes but what I'm saying is that it could take 3 or more years to bring the changes to fruition in domestic cricket and for those changes to work properly. Whether he is allowed 3 years and whether that level of patience is there remains to be seen.

If results are poor in the short-term, any good work going on behind the scenes will be ignored.

Exactly!!!! What is the point if these people are still there and appoint/keep unfit people in the top position who doesn't want best for Pakistan team and select players by merit?

Terrible candidates all of them. I agree. Dean Jones is also a hack and people are deluded if they think he is a proper coach. However, what good is Wasim Khan then? He has worked with the ECB for years and has an extensive network in County cricket. How come not a single coach from county cricket got excited by the prospect of Wasim Khan and having the opportunity of working with a national team?

My point is, what good is Wasim Khan for Pakistan if his clout and influence in English cricket does not yield any benefits such as attracting coaching talent, getting England to tour Pakistan, contracts for the top English talent in PSL etc. What exactly is Pakistan getting from him in exchange for the ridiculous amount of money that he is getting paid?

Agree that if he has to come and give Misbah the dual role.. Sethi could have done that, I think under Sethi MA and Inzi we’re appointed and they did well. Looks like Wasim Khan is doing bad than Sethi here with so much money
