Making too big a deal of one bowler clocking 90MPH. Good achievement at that age, but does not mean much in the big scheme of things. Have already seen what happened to Varun Aaron.
Ok.Enough hype.Its just a beginning.
Let the kid play instead of hyping .
Ok.Enough hype.Its just a beginning.
Lets not hype a 17 year old. We have in the past hyped a lot of u19 players like Chand and he is nowhere near team selection now. We need to let these players develop and if after a year or so if they are making headlines in domestic cricket, then they will get their due chances.
The batting talent is there...its just not properly channeledI would like to congratulate Indian posters for finding some ‘real’ fast-bowlers!
With the emergance of the youngsters and seniors like Bumrah, India now have a pretty solid bowling-unit as its spin department has always been top notch.
Hopefully we also find some good batting talent...
What's happened to this lad, Shivam mavi and Ishan porell? They performed better than their Pakistani counterparts Shaheen Musa and Arshad at the u19 world cup two of the three Pakistani bowlers have made the national team but the Indian bowlers have completely gone of the radar.

Yes.Is he playing in this year's IPL?
Tuned in and watched him bowling for Kolkata. His body doesnt seem to have grown much (Height looks less than Musa). Is bowling late 130s and few early 140s kph which I think is decent pace post injury but nothing to write home about and not really close to what the impression was.
Needs to improve his fitness and physique a lot, not good enough for a 20 year old in my opinion considering he has had back issues as well. He needs to get stronger to keep on playing cricket and especially if he wants to play longer formats. I understand he is coming back from injury but, he should have put on some muscle and overall strength during rehabilitation which is important while recovering from back injuries so that chance of reoccurrence can be reduced.
Man anything and everything is better than that hobbit musa please don’t even mention him in anything related to cricket it’s a disgrace for Pakistan for giving a hobbit a test debut in Australia. On the other nagarkoti is a serious bowler if you don’t know he was suffered a severe injury which really affected his career a lot because he was basically out for like 2-3 years. His pace is still great and it’s only gonna get better even his line and length are very good too he’s still young on top I’m not saying he will be a great but way better than musa nothing wrong in admitting that India has some better young fast bowlers than us coming through
This is a tragedy almost at the level of Munaf Patel but Munaf despite losing his pace retired as a world cup winner. He lived his dream.
At most, a new Bhuvaneshwar Kumar.
bhuvi would be Pakistan's best test bowler btw. bhuvi is a very good player in the long formats.
bhuvi is also quite good in t20.

He has become a trundler.
So dissapointing. Both him and Mavi.
Unable to hit 90 mph.
Archer bowling miles quicker.
He has played 2 matches after 2 years. Mavi after 1 year.
Nagarkoti clocked 143 plus today.
He was much quicker a couple of years ago.
Mavi has lost even more pace by the looks of it. Hasnain and naseem both had similiar injuries.
I expected him to be quicker than buumrah.
One thing is sure, he’s a horrible t20 cricketer at the moment, doesn’t bowl as quick as he used to and he currently bats like a number XI. Hope I’m wrong but playing IPL right now is only going to wreck his confidence in other formats too.
He is playing as specialist fielder
As I pointed out a few weeks ago, both Mavi and him have lost their zip. They may get it back but Mavi in particular hasn't got the same action and its a long way back.
