Batting looks horrible... Cannot see any genuine pacer in the side... Abrar and Usman are being trusted too much
saud?? shamyl is young but is he gonna win the tournament? Hasan is the only guy who can punch above his weight like he did last time.. Nafay is still raw..???
Their batting is their selling point. No other side has a combination of young attacking local batters like Quetta. Really looking forward to seeing Shamyl, Nafay and Hasan Nawaz light up the PSL inshAllah.

Shamyl has not done anything so far in T20s... He will get tested... Rilee is old but yeah, he is the best they got atm.Shamyl almost won the President’s trophy this year, captaining PTV to the final, despite having an OK squad at best. They also have Roussow and Arafat Minhas is a very promising young player.
That’s not a ‘horrible’ batting lineup. Theyll definitely surprise people
Hyderbad have best young attacking batters.???

I can back their batting to score 200+ every game on a flat deckAnother very difficult XI to build.
1. Shamyl Hussain/Jahanzaib Sultan
2. Sam Harper (WK)(O)
3. Khawaja Nafay
4. Ben McDermott/Rilee Rossouw (O)
5. Hassan Nawaz (C)
6. Bevon Jacobs (O)
7. Jahandad Khan
8. Ahmed Daniyal
9. Abrar Ahmed
10. Spencer Johnson (O)
11. Usman Tariq

This XI was super difficult to do man. The overseas players Quetta have brought in are pretty good, Brett Hampton & Tom Curran are good players who could play a part if Quetta are to win it.
Jahandad showed some real capabilities with the bat in his debut PSL season.Jahandad at 7 is high ig
He is a no 8 batsman at max
Abrar Usman Ahmad Spencer is a good bowling lineup
Saud and Hasan nawaz can roll their fingers too
They might make saud captain again or rossouw
He just hit a few but he isnt dependable as no 7. He is usama mir abbas afridi type batter atm. He can hit long but cant be called a batter.Jahandad showed some real capabilities with the bat in his debut PSL season.
Oooohhhh I think that's harsh on Jahandad. He just hit a few but he isnt dependable as no 7. He is usama mir abbas afridi type batter atm. He can hit long but cant be called a batter.
Jahandad has 15 batting avg in t20s and abbas has 12 almost.Oooohhhh I think that's harsh on Jahandad.
Usama Mir can hit sixes as can Abbas but Jahandad Khan has better application than both.
The never are. The domestic coaches don't want to play a potential pace all rounder in top 5 positions because it comprises their battingIf pcb is serious about developing their all rounders they should communicate with regional coaches and ask them to play them in top 5 positions in domestica at any cost.
Because there is no job security in Pakistan. The regions and teams are there to win domestic tournament but not act as a feeding vessel to pak intl team. You can win domestic tournament with 11 mediocre okayish players but none of them will make it to the intl team. The never are. Lack of depth in the pace attack! It will be interesting to see how they go about their bowling plans.QUETTA GLADIATORS SQUAD FOR PSL 2026

A guys who was unsold in the IPL . So a IPL rejected player

Yes.RizBar are loathed for their SR, but Saud Shakeel never gets the Slack
How many t20is has Saud played for Pakistan?RizBar are loathed for their SR, but Saud Shakeel never gets the Slack
Good he hasn't played,How many t20is has Saud played for Pakistan?
None because he never deserved it...How many t20is has Saud played for Pakistan?

So for what should he get any slack? Babar-Rizwan are criticized for pushing Pakistan cricket backwards in the limited formats.None because he never deserved it...
Because he is the captain of a franchise.... Should he be held accountable by the management and fans??? it is about PSL broSo for what should he get any slack? Babar-Rizwan are criticized for pushing Pakistan cricket backwards in the limited formats.
During PSL, he gets criticism when he plays slow. Here's my post from the last season (and I wasn't even much active on PSL threads)Because he is the captain of a franchise.... Should he be held accountable by the management and fans??? it is about PSL bro

Even without Finn Allen, they have a pretty strong squad and they should be able to reach the playoffs at least.Finn Allen has gone to IPL.
This is a powerful batting line upQuetta Gladiators is one of those rare teams in this competition where the local players are the biggest match-winners. And they are all young players too, so you are rooting for them to succeed.
Saud Shakeel really needs to step it up. Because you can't have the captain opening the batting and delivering such mediocre performances with the bat. He has a good cricketing IQ and is one of the better captains in the tournament. but unfortunately he is bound by his batting limitations.
Regardless, his position in the side is not under threat. However, when Sam Harper joins the squad, it would be foolish to have him bat anywhere but as opener. He was Player of the Tournament in the BBL and is coming off a great year.
Quetta can be an even better side if they drop Saud or Shamyl down to 3 and have Sam Harper open the batting. Rossouw looks finished so they need to dump him out as well. Ben McDermott is okay but I would rather have an exciting up-and-comer like Bevon Jacobs batting at 5. Hassan Nawaz at 4 should also not even be a question. He won QG so many games last season. He has earned that position.
1. Sam Harper (wk)
2. Shamyl Hussain
3. Saud Shakeel (c)
4. Hassan Nawaz

6. Khawaja Nafay
7. Tom Curran
8. Ahmed Daniyal
9. Alzarri Joseph
10. Abrar Ahmed
11. Usman Tariq
He did open started well was a bit unlucky to get lb ..ball turned and very marginal.decisionKhawaja Naffy should open.
It was a good delivery tbh.He did open started well was a bit unlucky to get lb ..ball turned and very marginal.decision
They had Gohar Shah sitting with them in the AuctionThey let alot of key players go. Faheem Ashraf, Khurram Shahzad, Kusal Mendis were the backbone of their team last season. And now they are all playing for some other team. You could have made more of an effort to retain them. Meanwhile over-the-hill Rossouw who can't play spin if his life depended on it is still in the squad. Pace attack looks severely depleted too now with Ahmed Daniyal out, and they still have a mountain to climb on the points table.
They've been in this league since the start. Should have a better sense of who your best players are. Just because someone gives you advice, doesn't necessarily means you take it either. They had a pretty decent side that was easily one of the top 3 in the league, and now I wouldn't even put them in the top 4.They had Gohar Shah sitting with them in the Auction
I think that bloke confused them a bit. His intentions are good but even he’s well off the mark with some of his thoughts
They still have one of the better squads in this edition. With 2 new teams, the quality of lineups tends to get depleted a little. They've been in this league since the start. I thought quetta was bad but nope, PIndi and hyderabad are even worse. They still have one of the better squads in this edition. With 2 new teams, the quality of lineups tends to get depleted a little.
You cant go worse than Pindi and Hyderabad in this edition.I thought quetta was bad but nope, PIndi and hyderabad are even worse.
