What's new

[PICTURE] We all admire Virat Kohli as a cricketer but he seems to be losing it now

LMAO.

VK's just too transparent for his own good. Keep the context of the game in mind - At one stage BD were 150/2 with almost 25 overs in hand. To go from there, to both set batsmen giving their wickets to Jadhav's dollies - imagine as a captain, when you throw the ball to a true part-time bowler, just hoping that he doesn't cost you too much and bowls a few overs - and getting key wickets like that - and that catch off a nothing ball - its funny. And its a release of pressure as well.

And VK just has no filter on the field. You see on his face what he's thinking and feeling. Sometimes that's good, and sometimes its not so good.

He's an equivalent to circus clown but the difference is he's putting a show on cricket field instead of stage to entertain the audience with his theatrics. Having said that, he's pivotal to the amusement of game, cricket needs clowns like him to engage the audience and kudos to him he's doing a perfect job so far.

He was spouting abuse when Tamim Iqbal was out and then when Mushfiqur Rehman was out (he took the catch) , he made this face
LOL
At the end Tamim was taking batting tips from Virat. They were behaving like "langotia yaar".
Matured Players don't take these kind of things seriously. Only jokers like Mushfiqur and some fans make a hill out of a mole.

MenInGHe was just imitating jadhav, who usually celebrate like this after taking wicket....don't get it wrong

Let's admit it, Kohli is the Floyd Mayweather Jr of Cricket right now in every other aspect apart from the fact he has a good off field image and PR with the press. Get's under your skin, rubs it in that you aren't good enough compared to him and walks the talk everytime.

Pretty cowardly to only do this when you get a wicket or when the situation suits you. Where was this attitude and behavior against Sri Lanka?

I would just request you to watch jadhav celebration during newzeland series he used to celebrate like that so kohli was just trying to imitate him and he was doing it more to show it to jadhav than mushafiqur.

The more runs kohli scores and more he wins, loses more respect of some opposition fans. And the good thing is no one cares😎

TBH doesn't bother me too much.

As long as he doesn't abuse disgusting profanity at the opposition players then I don't have a problem.

He is what he is - maybe as captain he should be more mature but still he does the talking with the bat.

Sorry to say, but lost all respect for him. He should behave like a captain, not a sarak ka gunda.
Guys you are going overboard without knowing reason behjned it he was doing it to jadhav and not to BD.....and moreover he is not their to impress you or anyoneelse for that matter ,he is there to win matches.....

Kohli has been very respectful of Pakistan off the field.

Compare that to like Gambhir and Sehwag who have said nasty stuff.

Maybe that's why I have a soft corner for him. Also maybe because he's damn good player who uses his passion to his strength.

If he is not there to impress me, then why are you to defend him before me.. Have zero respect for Kohli, till he learns to respect his opponents.

kohli dont need respect from opposiye fans, he said it numerous times
he has enough fans in india

Im not defending him all i m saying is you got it wrong as he was not doing it to offend BD rather he was imitating jadhav....

What's this supposed to be?

Virat Bro - take it easy and stop playing to the galleries. You are better than that.

This is misleading without the video. His reaction was towards the bowler and it read something like "see! told you that you need to do this and this will happen"

Giving a pose so that Bangla fans can Photoshop his face, to take revenge for the hammering today.

actually cuptaan kohli needs to do the growing up..his antics lack class and humility..

On field he competes any which way he can, thats the part of his personality. But off the field he is more gentleman then most of the well behaved players on the field.

There are no points for fairplay and humility in the match, I find nothing wrong with what he does.

HE is a great cricketer but is a pathetic rolemodel. Though can't bleme him his job is playing cricket not being morally and politically correct all the times

what's wrong with this?

I don't see anything wrong with this as an expression of his emotions. Some people pump their fists, some jump in the air, he sticks his tongue out. And it was not as if he was insulting the batsman. Just another passionate player who really gets into the game.

I don't think he is "losing it". Exhibit A for the defense, a 96 not out innings. And he didn't even try to get to his century which he could easily have by asking Sharma to leave runs for him. Very class by him and by his team.

Team India has got a history with Mushfiqur because of his premature celebrations in that WT20 game against them, which Bangladesh ended up losing. Mushfiq also tweeted a picture of himself celebrating India's loss later on. So this was a send off for all that in my opinion.

It wasn't directed at Musfiqur and was therefore not a sendoff. He was looking at the bowler, not the batsman.

I have seen loads of athletes stick their tongue out when they have won a race or scored a goal, as a means to let steam out and not just rile up the opposition.

There is a reason why the Google search "Michael Jordan tongue" returns 11+ million results!

I don't understand mate? What are you trying to say I asked a question you didn't answer it and I don't understand what you mean by your question

I think Sane.Cricket.Fan was replying to Savak's rather than your post.

Reading all these comments it seems that as VK is progressing in his career, everyone else around him is loosing it. The lad is a fanatic when it comes to playing cricket which is obvious in his approach and attitude towards the game. If you can get the other 10 players in the exact same mode then you have the rampaging Indies from the 70's/80's and the Aussies in the 90's

All VK haters seem to be trying to latch on the tiniest bit of negativity that can be found in his approach just to demean him and put him down. He is a fantastic cricketer who brings the mind games to a whole new level on the ground.

he is enjoying the game ,, and thats what our players also need to do... sledge and make the opposition weak. love when someone backfires after being sledged.

Not a big deal, would prefer this to the "firstly, credit to opposition" type attitude :azhar

I can't believe people are actually defending this awful behaviour. Is this how you guys behave in real life because its okay if others do it? Its disgusting. Show some damn class. I wonder why people think this behaviour is the so called 'Aggressive Cricket' way .Where did all the sportsmanship go. There's a reason cricket is called a gentleman's game. The replies to this post tell the number of people that are uneducated.

He is just being Bollywoodish...no harm in that...99% athlete 1% entertainer....he will be fine once he his settled...married and kids...part of evolution...don't forget!! we used to be like that as well during that stage of our lives...pretty fine

So he is supposed to care what some opposition fan on pakpassion thinks, he has millions of fans who like his antics and niether those millions nor he cares if you like or hate team india or him.

says alot about his millions of fans then..

we dont know the histopry between the players and its not like he abused anyone, yea made himself look a bit foolish in front of tv to some people but i dont think he cares. Whats stupid and disrespectful are these dumb tweets by Sehwag and Rishi Kapoor

I don`t think there was an issue with this face if you see this dismissal he actually moved significantly towards his left and batsman exactly did what Kohli was thinking he will do so it was more joy of his prediction went BINGO!!!!

The pain is not from his tongue but it is because India winning at least for some of the posters here. iti is more fun to see people winning about it after winning the match.

Attitude like yours mening is exaxfly why cricket gets boring . Cricket was amazing when it had amazing character whether you hated them or not

Don't see any problem with it providing he can take it back when on the receiving end. Sticking your tongue out is not beneath the belt at all.

Exactly. Plus the choice of a harmless part-time bowler resulting in a wicket.

Once a cartoon will always be a cartoon :)))

Shami took wicket of Elgar and Kohli ran from half field towards the pitch just to show some aggression at the face of Elgar :))

Kohli has been always like this, that’s his personality, what’s big deal in that?

He would be crying or get really angry if someone did that to him.

Im all in for being competitive and really wanting to win, but this is a really poor thing to do specially if you're a captain and a batsmen like Kohli.

The guy got a small frame. Nothing wrong with that. Some people are big and some are small.

Kohli looks funny to my eyes when he celebrates jumping :yk

Same when he imitated Afridi's starman celebration. You see, Afridi got a big wingspan. He looks good. Kohli looks funny :afridi

As usual people being bitter here because its Kohli and because he scored.Love his passion wish our players were as intense and maybe half as good.

Event Ganguly who showed aggression used to maintain his dignity. Kohli seriously needs to have a look at the videos to see how uncouth it looks.

I actually love this mentality from Kohli - I wish we had guys like this in the Pakistani team, rather than players who "just give 100% don't care about winning"

This is the same way the 2000s Auz team used to be - just mentally assassinating the opposition

I've not watched Kohli or India in any other series's, seen him in the ODIs and didn't see him act as childish as he has done throughout this serious.

Anytime there's an appeal or a wicket, or even a boundary he gets very animated and comes across as a cartoon character. From memory, not that I've followed him much, haven't seen him act like this. Is this something he's been doing since becoming Test Captain?

My favourite player acting like a child. Demerit point isn't going to teach him much. He's the the Sarfraz of India onfield.

Maybe not that bad, except with the bat where it matters most.

His actions are Pretty immature, arrogant and unlikeable tbh. A fantastic player but need to be mature on field.

Him and Stokes both are similar in this aspect.

Lol at people asking Kohli to be mature.

He shouldn't have gotten frustrated at the umpire, he should draw a line. But I don't mind him getting in the face of opposition.

It is what gets the best out of him, well at least he brought a semblance of respect for India in this test, or we'd be on our way to a huge defeat.
