In the world of butterfingers, there are some gun fielders too. So whom do you rate as the best fielded in the world currently? Also surprised to see no name of Glenn Phillips here.

Fielding should encompass catching, flexibility across field positions, ground fielding and hitting the stumps.

Johnty rhodes was considered the best because he is a star across all the spectrums in fielding.

While catching alone will include many gun names from Yuvi, Kaif, Gibbs, collingwood, ponting etc, I personally rate Jadeja just a notch below Johnty rhodes because he hits the bar across all the metrics for me.

While Jadeja may be surpassed in have safe pair of hands by some legendary point fielders, none comes close to him in hitting the stumps consistently with a rocket arm. His presence alone used to save 15-20 runs in ODI for India.

I think he is the best fielder in the world currently. By a country mile.

He is the modern day Jonty Rhodes.

Glen phillips is really athletic pulling off incredible catches. But so are other point fielders. People forget how good Gibbs was and even Ponting, Yuvi and Kaif etc. Johnty rhodes stood apart for this accurate throws.

Have to really look at the stats but obviously fielding inside circle have more run-out opportunities.

But Glen Phillips is pretty new to the field yet compared to the likes of Jadeja or other greats. Lets see. But that guy is a beast with crazy reflexes pulling off catches from thin air.

I dont think Stokes and Stoinis are even close TBH to be counted along them.

Yes, Glenn Phillips has to be among the top 3 fielders in the world right now. Maybe he doesn't pick too many catches in test cricket to be featured in this list but he is a damn good fielder.
