Cricket didn't start this year. How many times have we qualified for the SFs since 1999? Maths isn't a great a subject of yours.
No point in scoring where game and series is done. Like scoring 80 runs when Aus puts 600+ and Pakistan is guaranteed to lose or when series is already 0-2. Those are soft runs.
He's never going to be at miandad/inzy/YK levels of greatness for us, I think we as fans need to accept that. All I want is for him to find his flow again however those runs come.

Is it fair to compare Babar's output with Kohli's output? Totally different class, so I don't think it's fair to Babar.
Babar has managed to draw Karachi test match against Australia, that was the biggest match saving innings he played in his overall test career. In my opinion Babar has failed to make any impart for Pak team in all big tournaments of limited overs cricket. He has played 2 ODI WCs, 2 T20 WCs & 3 Asia cups and doesn't have any accomplishment.
TWO DISMAL PERFORMANCES WITH THE BAT IN THE FIRST TEST. FOUR MORE FAILURES ARE HIGHLY LIKELY. HIS NUMBER ONE STATUS CAME BY SCORING AGAINST LOW QUALITY TEAMS LIKE NEPAL, ZIMBABWE , IRELAND AND WEST INDIES. 
Not really fair, Kohli for a while had been a mid tier Batsman while Babar dominated across formats. Now you all come out the woods to pump the miniature chests after he regained form, acting like he won you the World Cup
It's fair because that was not a random made up comparison. Well paid pr, media, a toxic fanclub & the board itself marketed this outrageous ridiculous comparison for last four years, the entire reign of his not so pleasant captaincy aka lordship over Pak cricket. Now that he has been exposed & embarrassed as nothing but a hype job of the highest con artistry, it's time both he & his army of stooges face the music.
For him to go all guns blazing, Australia will have to bowl regularly in his comfort/scoring zones. They are far well prepared this time to not let that happen.
Aus is still a good place for him to bat given his weakness against spin and lack of turning tracks in Aus.

It's not as if he is special against proper fast bowling. He is so ridiculously poor against spin that it often deserts our minds that he is equally pathetic if not more against pace. I mean Marsh is the exact kind of bowler that is up his alley & guess what the dude jobbed to his trundling movements. The way Wood bullied him last year on those carpet roads of Pindi,Lahore etc was a sight to behold. I have never ever witnessed a "top" batsman handling genuine pace so poorly & helplessly like that.
I beleive at this stage & time almost everybody listens & silently agrees. It's just that nobody wants to admit how they were duped by arguably the biggest pr con job of all time. Personally I had reached my conclusion regarding the guy back in 21 wc. He was soft, harmless, impactless,selfish, mediocre & full on statpadding mode. After then I simply stopped expecting anything substantial or truly significant from him.

I can name a number of batsmen who were excellent besides Kohli in the playing XI of India, such as Sehwag, Sachin, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Raina, and Rohit etc. Can you name anyone with equal or similar abilities to Babar in a playing XI? I guess only Fakhar, to some extent. Kohli was supported well by his team mates and he had that attitude which only few will get. Babar on the other hand was/is a lone warrior, leader of the batting unit.
Babar isn’t struggling because of others. He is struggling because he is not as good as his fans portray him to be.
He has won us enough matches, but people's expectations are too high. He is good and the best we have in our cricketing system at the moment. However, expecting him to win every match single-handedly is not justifiable. Other players need to provide support as well.
He performed well whenever he get support from rizwan or fakhar or any batter. He has performed exceptionally well initially in ODI's which made his fans go crazy. Now its not his problem if we get less competetive matches against top teams.

Well TBH tests should not be the format where he gets the golden boy treatment. PEople like Kamran Ghulam even Omair yousuf have done reasonably well in recent times and there is no reason why they can't outperform babar in tests
How would Kamran Ghulam be worse than him right now?
Exactly he's not in same bracket like Younis Khan who always had a daddy hundred per series in him despite looking awful many times. With Babar we can almost guarantee he won't be scoring anything meaningful in this series.
