She has no mandate. She didnt win her seat, her party got smashed and she is an illegal CM. She had Sanam locked up for 9 months, and forced her through intimidation to withdraw.

PTI leader Hammad Azhar has announced Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan as the party’s new candidate for the Punjab chief minister.

He said the decision was made after the party leadership consulted previous nominee Mian Aslam Iqbal.

Biggest robbery in Punjab’s history to install fake CM, says Hammad Azhar

PTI’s Hammad Azhar has said that “more than 100 MPAs from Punjab who stand elected as per Form 45 but were disenfranchised by Form 47 forgeries” would hold a press conference tomorrow where they would present evidence.

In a post on X, the PML-N said that Maryam Nawaz’s nomination papers for Punjab chief minister have been submitted. The deadline for submitting the papers was 5pm.

How can someone read this with a straight face, is beyond me.

her academic career was a failure and qualifications are highly questionable. Her married life is also a subject of ridicule, her moral character has been looked at with suspicion for years and her unethical and immoral political activities are also well documented.

She has zero qualification for the job. She won the seat through rigging. Even someone like diesel is probably fitter for the job than she is.

It will be an unmitigated disaster.

What she has done well is act as a pawn in the hands of the handlers and use immoral and unethical tactics to torture and violate opposition political opponents. If you think otherwise, you are either naive or don’t care.

Same thing going to happen in NA as well as most of the PTI MNA's will be kept out of important NA sessions.
For sure the first national assembly session will be very animated as PTI will try to duplicate the first day performance of PMLN in 2018 first NA session
 
This is absolutely nightmarish stuff for people of pakistan. A woman who got into medical school due to her fathers coercion and corrupt tactics, who ended up dropping out of medical school because of her ineptitude and lack of intelligence, a woman who cheated and was supposed to be in jail for stealing and corruption, is out on bail and has been known to engage in dirty tactics of gaining access to compromising videos of her opponents to release them to public..... and many many other embarassing, shameless and immoral acts is now the CM of Punjab, the second most powerful seat of the country.

I hope the hater of IK will love living in a PAKISTAN with her in charge of Punjab.

In a vehement response to the election of Maryam Nawaz as the chief minister of Punjab, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) issued a scathing statement on Monday, denouncing the move as the result of rigged results in the ‘unconstitutional’ Punjab Assembly. The PTI accused those currently holding seats in the assembly of facilitating the selection of a "fake" Chief Minister.

The PTI spokesperson, in a strongly-worded statement, asserted that the family, alluding to the Sharif family, notorious for alleged corruption and wealth accumulation abroad, is once again attempting to influence Punjab's political landscape for their own gain.

"It is unconstitutional and shameful for the police to prevent the nominated candidates and elected members of PTI from attending the meeting by imposing curfew outside the Punjab Assembly," stated the PTI spokesperson, highlighting what they perceive as undue interference in the political process.

The statement further criticised the alleged theft of the people's mandate, accusing Maryam of being brought to power through manipulated election results. The PTI asserted that the sanctity of the House is now being violated, suggesting that the move to elect Maryam goes against the democratic principles that underpin the political process.

The PTI spokesperson castigated Maryam for seeking the chief minister's position, emphasising her failure to secure even a single seat despite her opponents facing what they termed as "state oppression and rigging." The spokesperson asserted that Maryam's priority is not the welfare of the people but the enrichment of the Sharif family at the expense of the national treasury.

"The people of Punjab will not tolerate the desecration of their mandate in the case of an unconstitutionally elected fake chief minister," warned the PTI statement. It predicted the eventual collapse of what it deems an unconstitutional government established through a rigged election, stating that such a government would crumble under its own weight.

PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz was sworn in as the Punjab chief minister at the Governor House on Monday, shortly after she secured a comfortable lead over PTI-nominated Rana Aftab in the Punjab Assembly to become the first woman chief minister of the province.

The PML-N leader swept the contest after securing 220 votes while the PTI-designate secured none as his party had boycotted the election.

In her maiden speech at the Punjab Assembly, Maryam thanked God and her supporters for the win and took a conciliatory tone towards the opposition. “I want to give a message to the opposition: the doors of my chamber and heart will always remain open for them as they are for my party members.”

“Today, I am upset that the respectable members of the opposition benches are not present here. I wish they would be a part of the political and democratic process," said the newly-elected chief minister.

“If the opposition was present today, and if they had protested during my speech, I would have been happy."

She also asserted that she had no desire for revenge from her political opponents and maintained that her government will work for those who voted for her as well as those who did not.

“From the day I was nominated as Punjab CM, Nawaz Sharif chalked out a five-year plan for the province and gave me valuable advice every day,” said Maryam.

“I want to take this moment and tell the youth that you should respect your parents because the prayer of our parents takes us to the position where we never envisioned to be,” the PML-N leader added.

Outlining the objectives for her provincial government, the Sharif scion maintained the provision of employment, education and healthcare remain key to the PML-N's vision for Punjab and added that free medicine would be available in all provincial hospitals.

In her victory speech, Maryam also said the vision was to turn Punjab into an 'economic hub'.

Maryam was contesting against Rana Aftab, whom the PTI selected for the coveted role after its initial nominee, Mian Aslam, faced threats of arrest.

Shortly after the session started, Sunni Ittehad Council members comprising PTI-backed MPAs walked out of the assembly. The 103 lawmakers of the party walked out in protest after the PTI nominee for the chief minister slot was not given a chance to speak at the point of order.

On Sunday, the legislature's speaker, Malik Ahmed Khan, deemed the nomination papers submitted by Maryam and Aftab as valid after scrutiny. He subsequently announced an election for the Punjab chief minister's post during Monday's assembly session.

The PTI named Rana Aftab as its new candidate for Punjab chief minister following attempts by Punjab Police to arrest its previous nominee, Mian Aslam.

PTI Secretary General Hammad Azhar wrote on X that Mian Aslam had been nominated by the party's founder, Imran Khan, but due to the Punjab Police's presence to arrest him, the leadership altered its plan. He stated that PTI, in consultation with Mian Aslam, nominated Rana Aftab as the new candidate.

Azhar detailed Rana Aftab's background, stating he has been elected to the Punjab Assembly five times. He claimed the party has the support of 212 MPAs, while PML-N only has 40 "true members" according to Form 45.

Describing the PML-N as a "democracy raider," Azhar alleged that the rest of its members in the assembly were the result of "rejected February 9 forgeries."

In response, PML-N central spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb claimed the PTI's change in the nominee for Punjab chief minister was its first "U-turn”. She stated that after her election, Maryam would announce a development roadmap and measures for women's uplift.

An excellent first speech from Maryam as CM talking about development, education and with an emphasis on human rights and reconciliation. Compare that with the filth thugs like Buzdar and Elahi where spreading and its safe to say that Maryam is already Punjabs best CM within the last 6 years
 
Speeches and cute words do not matter. All the parties said pretty stuff before the elections but failed actually to put that stuff on ground. Let her work for some time, but by all means, a woman ruling a place never works according to Islamic teachings and Pakistan is an Islamic state ( even though on papers only).

Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with MPAs from Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib.

According to a statement issued by the PML-N, Maryam sought a plan on the provision of clean water and the construction of sewerage lines in the rural areas of the province.

“She urged the lawmakers to present their demands in a document,” the statement said.

If Buzdar was such a disaster why did PTI win a two thirds majority from Punjab for the NA seats and Provincial Assembly seats according to Form 45?
 
One student was killed and two others were injured after being hit by a speeding car in Khanewal district’s Mian Channu on Wednesday, according to office.

A statement by Rescue 1122 said that the incident took place in front of the Government Girls Model High School, adding that the car hit the students as they were on their way to school. It said that the car was totaled in the incident.

It further said that the the deceased, Shiza, was in the eighth grade, adding that the two injured were taken to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital.

Meanwhile, Khanewal District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq said that police had arrested the driver of the vehicle who had initially fled the scene. In a statement, he also confirmed the number of casualties.

“A case has been registered and legal proceedings have been initiated,” he added. He also offered his condolences to the bereaved family, adding that all the legal requirements of the case would be fulfilled.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz took notice of the incident. She sought a report from the Multan commissioner and ordered immediate action after determining the responsible parties.

She directed the Khanewal deputy commissioner to provide the best medical facilities to the injured.

I am very confident that she will restore Punjabi back to its glory and we will once again witness the development that we have always seen under PMLN leadership.

Buzdar was a complete failure. He was nothing more than Imran’s puppet. Punjab finally has a real leader in charge.

Didn't you claim that bloody Mary was anti boots and SS was the pro boots but he became the "real PM". But as we know bloody Mary has lied down and licked boots in a historical manner, so much so, that she was given CMship with around 15% of the vote. She couldn't win her own seat, she had Tayyaba Raja locked up for 8 months and forced her to withdraw with threats and blackmail. But Obviously her having Tayyaba locked wasn't her fault, it was the PTI being pesky and beating blood Mary. Today without Munir, Bloody Mary can't win a local Tehsil election.

Maryam pays surprise visit to Mayo Hospital

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz visit to the Mayo Hospital Emergency Block and directed to provide 50 wheel chairs and stretchers there.

On pointing out by an elderly citizen Shabbir Shakir, Maryam Nawaz directed to allocate a special place for offering prayers in the emergency. On the complaints of the patients, she ordered to immediately provide chest tube.

The CM expressed indignation on the security for stopping the people. She stated that she belongs to the people and the people should not be kept separate from her adding that if the people are stopped again then she would turn out the security.

The one month program of clean punjab is such a waste of money and resources. People will litter again after one month. We need to create systems, quality waste management services.
 
Punjab govt to create digital record of population

The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has taken a historic step by deciding to create a digital record of every neighbourhood and population in Punjab for the first time.

This initiative, known as the Punjab Digital Database, aims to compile an accurate count of the entire population, including details such as number, location, contact information, and addresses of vulnerable segments.

A 13-member technical working group, headed by Marriyum Aurangzeb, was formed in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Punjab. The group includes Bilal Azhar Kiyani, a member of the party’s central economic team and member of the National Assembly, along with senior officials and statisticians.

The Punjab Digital Data Bank will serve as the foundation for planning education, health, and development initiatives across the province, ensuring equitable resource distribution among all residents. It will also establish a transparent system for monitoring progress on development projects and delivering financial assistance to beneficiaries directly.

The availability of accurate data and information will facilitate economic policies and informed decision-making. The data bank will also support the social security of the elderly, widows, orphans, needy families, and students.

Moreover, the digital system will automatically register newborns in Punjab and collect information on individuals who have settled in Punjab from other regions. This population data collection will aid in formulating both short-term and long-term policies.

Pakistan is a prime example of nepotistic culture. Nawaz, then his brother Shehbaz then his daughter Maryam, and Son of Shehbaz, Hamza. Zulfikar Ali Bhutto then his daughter Benazir then his son Bilawal. This is pathetic.

I Have no high hopes for Maryam apart from another Metro bus type thing which will be built after borrowing money and putting the same as collateral. People who have not used this service once have been bragging about this thing for ages. Poor illiterate guys.

No matter what she does, she and her father will be remembered for licking boots to be in power. They couldn't win despite historic and unprecedented pre polling rigging and PTI had no election symbol.

Pakistan's issue is not with dynastic politics, this is an assumption made because fans love to blindly trust whatever Imran says without doing any analyzes.

Dynastic politics becomes an issue when there is democracy in the country where one family keeps retaining the power and coming to power no matter what happens.

First you need to identify if democracy exists in the country. Our issue is that we have establishment that holds the power not the parliament. The issue is not even with Establishment holding the power to be honest, but the issue is when the establishment decides to remove anyone it doesnt like at anytime. Thus causing changes in every institution.

Something that you can blame the govt is not making institutions independent and making sure its dependent on the govt so that their own people can be employed.

A great example is the PSL 2024. Its one of the worst seasons, why? Because we had change in chairmans 4 - 6 times. Why? Because whether it was Shebaz, Imran, Nawaz or Gillani, they made sure their chairman was there and they did not allow PCB to be independant. The result? The garbage of 2024 PSL we are having is cause of this.

But this is something that can be solved once the establishtment stops removing people at any time it likes. This applies to both Imran and Nawaz being removed.

Our establishment has never allowed democracy to flourish in Pakistan. Politicians need to stop being boot polishyas, first it was Imran Khan, now Shehbaz/Maryam/Nawaz
 

Maryam Nawaz approves 5-year plan for health department upgradation​

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Saturday approved phase-wise reforms in the health system, and the review of issues related to maternal and child health including the provision of standard treatment facilities for them.

The decision was made in a 3-hour long special meeting on the restructuring of health system, consideration of an effective 5-year plan for the upgradation of health department, review of system reform and suggestions for the improvement of management of Rural Health Centers (RHCs) and dispensaries presided over by the chief minister.

During the meeting, she directed the authorities concerned to ensure that there should be no hospital in the province where doctors, paramedical staff, medicines and required medical equipment are not available. She also directed to form a Health Advisory Council to ensure transparency. The Health Advisory Council will include government officials, professionals and public representatives.

Ms Nawaz called for a plan for the upgradation, construction and rehabilitation of BHU and RHC. She directed to ensure uniformity in the external and internal design of BHU and RHC. Secretary C&W was asked to present mock designs of BHU and RHC in two weeks.

The CM directed to install Urdu signboards and proper floor lining in hospitals to guide the public. She approved immediate provision of free medicines to patients. She also called for a field hospital plan to bring health facilities to the doorsteps of people. She directed to send mobile health units to suburban areas and villages on scheduled days. The mobile health unit will have medical officer, LHV, dispenser and other staff besides necessary medical equipment. It was also decided in the meeting to start a pilot project from Lahore to provide health facilities to people at their doorstep.

Ms Sharif ordered to meet shortage of infant formula on priority basis. Proposals for the establishment of medical center for the treatment of heart, cancer and other diseases in each district were also evaluated in the meeting.

She said, “A special hospital will be established to provide best cancer treatment facilities to poor patients, adding that public awareness and health screening should be prioritized in the health department, and special attention should be given to mother and child health at BHU level.”
