Junaid Jamshed did contribute to Pakistan cricket by sponsoring the team a lot of times. How will his contribution be remembered?

If Junaid Jamshed did contributed to Pakistan cricket, then he contributed it with his songs, Dil Dil Pakistan and Hum hai Pakistani

Dil Dil Pakistan was like a national anthem for Pakistan. This song meant more to us then our actual national anthem, Pak saar zameen, because the lyrics of the song were understood by everyone and each and every time this song was played its lyrics woke a jazba in every Pakistani.

How did his songs contributed to Pakistan Cricket?

No matter in how much bad state Pakistan Cricket might be in, but even if we win against Zimbabwe, the fans love it. Our cricket is the only thing which brings us good news, which allow us to represent ourselves to the world as someone other than terrorists, which makes us compete at international level and show the world that we are amongest the best.

When we win, its that song Hum hai Pakistani that is played. While that song is played you see a montage of Pakistani players celebrating a wicket, hitting a six, or celebrating a win; While you watch that video with that music being played, you get a nostalgic feeling by remembering that six, wicket or win, and once again you feel the junoon and jazba inside you.

No cricket video could be complete without this song. The songs tune goes well with showing a typical innings of Pakistan cricket, where we start off big then have a collapse and a fallback and then we revive towards a victory. The song make you feel patriotic and proud of not only your country but also of your team.

Dil Dil Pakistan was like a National Anthem for the country, but Hum hai Pakistani was like a National Anthem for Pakistan Cricket.

Hum hai Pakistani is the top pakistan cricket song, while Hai koi hum jaisa comes second

I like the fact that he didn't just focus on international cricket but also supported domestic cricket.

Very nicely put by Major.

Dil Dil Pakistan was the soundtrack to an unforgettable World Cup triumph.

Good stuff from the players, Pakistanis and Aussies alike.

Someone who supported Pakistan cricket from top to bottom.

Provided sponsorship to PCB when they were really struggling.

I knew him more closely than many other Pakistani, he was a great man, I'm very very sad on his passing, RIP.

Pakistan Cricket Board is deeply saddened at the tragic crash of PIA’s flight PK 611, en route to Islamabad from Chitral. The ill-fated flight that claimed the lives of 48 people, also had one of PCB’s strongest supporters Junaid Jamshed onboard. PCB is grieved by the untimely demise of all those on board, and would like to extend its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

Junaid’s contributions to PCB have been many and varied. He was an integral part of the PCB's domestic and international endeavors by actively sponsoring many PCB led events through the association of his company J. He was also a very strong supporter of the PCB's youth development and talent hunt programs. Junaid’s “Dil Dil Pakistan” became the unofficial anthem for Pakistan cricket and almost all the matches that Team Pakistan played since then were amidst crowds chanting and holding placards of these three words of extreme patriotism.

JJ's iconic legacy will certainly be remembered for many generations to come. Our heartfelt sympathies are with his family and we hope his loved ones find solace in these difficult times.
