What do you think of him?

Hes been talked about for quite a long time. Hes a tape ball specialist and known to be express pace. Lets hope he makes it like Rauf and Dilbar

He held his nerve in quite a tight game today in the last over. Is decent. Pakistani bowlers are still not swinging the ball the way other bowlers are around the world

Idk much about this guy, but you expect him to swing the ball in a 10 overs game ? Lol.

Tbf Wahab was getting it to swing from ball 1. Zahid had a decent debut, went for a few runs had a few decent deliveries went for runs again but held his nerve at the end with plenty of runs to play with. Got a scolding from boom boom , he needs to work out a few plans pretty quick and get used to bowling to fields, this scatter gun approach will only take you so far.

This guy has come from nowhere to look like a real talent. He is quick. His bouncer on a slow wicket was very sharp and I look forward to see his development. Where has he been?

The problem with a lot of these seasoned tape ball bowlers, from what I’ve noticed, is that they have very limited bowling IQ’s and lack game awareness. The big names like Rauf, Muhammad Umar (Known as Umari pacer on the tapeball circuit) and Zahid all aren’t the brightest tools in the shed. Obviously bowling IQ is a natural asset, but it doesn’t help when the overwhelming majority of batsman they’re up against don’t have a shot apart from the leg side slog. Consequently, the bowlers never develop the art of setting up a batsman, bowling to a field, knowing when to bowl what etc.

Of course there are exceptions like Dilbar and supposedly Ahmed Danyal.

Hopefully once city cricket is organised we won’t have bowlers like these playing professional hard ball cricket for the first time, or in Rauf’s case picking up a hard ball for the first time when they should’ve already been a couple of years into their FC careers.

Nowhere? He is one of the most famous tape ball bowler in circuit.

It always amazes me as to how we regularly churn out cricketers who have clear natural ability but are dumber than a sack of potatoes.
I wonder what the reason is. Perhaps IK's view of stunted growth applies to them.

Maybe what looks as dumb as actually a different set of skills which don't translate into the hard ball game. Sonny Bill Williams was sent off in a test against the Lions for shoulder charging, this something that looked natural to him because of his Rugby League background.

Not from nowhere. Been seeing interviews of him for two years now on YouTube, he’s supposedly the fastest Tape Ball bowler in Pakistan and clocked 150+ with the tape ball.

Played in a lot of the same tournaments as Haris Rauf and has been a name on the circuit for some time now.

Oh wow, I remember watching Karnal Zahid on YT. :))

Yeah, he definitely was the fastest tape ball bowler I've ever seen but I don't think he had much control over what he was bowling back then.

Karnal Zahid and Ahmad Daniyal were smashed into oblivion today by Even Lewis and Ravi Bopara.

They need a lot of work, not ready for competitive hard ball cricket

Request to the mods to fix the typo in the title — it’s Karnal Zahid not Mohammad Zahid

They probably look like greased lightning in tape ball cricket due to the pathetic batsmen they get to bowl to

Got pumped by semi professional tape ball cricketers in a tournament in Gujranwala. Not good enough.
