looks soo Pakistani ..
maybe trying to pull out ct stunt here

South Africa’s looks horrendous. Looks like a rip off of an older pakistan one.

Pakistan needs reebok, puma or addidas to make their kits

Looka at others
India - nike
SA- NB
Australia - asics
England - NB

At least for world cup if budget is low becuase world cup memories are long lasting

To be honest, the more I look at south Africa's kit the more I start to hate it. Their current kit is amazing, don't understand why they had to change it.

So far this is shaping up to be the world Cup with the worst kits.

Liked SA's 2015 kit better, we also had a good kit for 2015 WC, hope we get a good one for this WC also our current kit is horrible.

Because others have massive markets or good and well off middle classes that make them attractive to companies. We can't simply ask Nike to make our kits. They have to pay us to have their symbol on our kit. They are the ones who would approach us.

Wow South Africa have outdone even Pakistan, worst SAF kit ever.

According to a TV news report just heard, the t-shirt presented to PM Imran today is the official World cup kit for Pakistan.. doesn't look any different to the normal kit.

That’s not the reason - PAK’s internal market is more than enough for any brand to be associated with. Fiji’s Rugby WC kits are supplied by Nike, and Adidas were the kit supplier of Ice Land’s soccer team. Nike is the supplier of Senegal soccer team & Adidas used to be sponsors of Bolivian team in WC ... can’t recall Togo, Ivory Coast, Angolan teams .... Top 10% of 20+ crore PAK population is filthy rich - larger bucket than even many European countries; economy of scale isn’t not an issue.

Think about team reputation, players’ quality, individual stardom and mass interest. That August 2010 events didn’t help much in this regard. From the strict & prompt actions taken by CA regarding the sand paper incident, should give an idea how cheating or corruption in sports is reacted by global sponsors.

Too much green - PAK, SAF, BD probably AFGs as well, had they made it, I believe Irish colour is also green.. Aussies started the coloured dress culture & they have taken the most unique colour - gold, like Brazil. We need to change our colour and I don’t mind blood red base with shades of dark green.

Geez, man! Some people will moan about ANYTHING! Yeah, so we haven't revealed our kit yet? The WC is more than a month away and it's not like all the other teams have announced their kits.

Judging from this thread, teams whose kits have not been announced :

Pakistan
New Zealand
West Indies
England
Bangladesh
Afghanistan
Sri Lanka

..but but but Pakistan hasn't announced their kit yet! Cry me a freakin' river.

Have never seen SA kit with this parrot green colour before.

That is a poor decision but also understandable as we don't have a kit sponsor. If we did, ideally they would've been introduced before leaving for England Series and allowing time for kit maker to put it in stores for people to purchase. Best time to make money on kit/jersey sales would've been over the next month or so. Just goes to show there is no long term planning at the PCB HQ.

The plan is most likely to find a UK based sponsor in the first two weeks of May, then launch kit in third week, which gives a week to get the kits printed for all players and find an alternative sponsor or renegotiate any deals at the last minute.

A UK based sponsor for what? Our title sponsor is Pepsi (they're not giving up those rights after decades), our secondary is Brighto Paints. Neither will give up those rights. If you're thinking a kit sponsor, then its way too late in the game for any big name sponsor, they require time to conceptualize and finalize designs. If what you're saying is correct then we're in worse shape than I thought. Most likely, designs and shirts have been finalized and are being printed and kits being put together now so that they're ready to go WC time. The PCB is bad at planning but even they wouldn't wait till the last week.

Pakistan kit will be the usual last-minute decision running around between suppliers.

I remember previously all the kits of teams in WC were based on one theme or pattern like 92 and 96 WCup. Is this not the case now ? Any one can add ...

How does that give the fans enough time prior to WC to purchase the kits?!

That's ridiculous!

Hopefully dont be first one to exit England as well

Haha. Hope not. I'm fine with the dark green or light green ('92 WC) kit but not that weird in between shade which looks like SA's kit that has been on and off for the past few years. What about the Independence Cup kit (2017)? I liked that one... Wouldn't mind seeing a similar shade...

Another below average kit for this WC after Oz and SAF.
Looks more a pakistani jersey.

Ooopss.. this kit looks more like a Pakistani one. There is absolutely no shade of red on their kit.

NO WAY, team is going to wear this - might be training kits but not for games. There will be red sheds for sure and I think there will be 2 versions - one is more green with red stripes and one is on red base with almost 50-50 green sheds. The idea is that against teams with green outfit, the 2nd kit will be used, but this is all from gossip, I don't have any concrete clue, everything is still hush hush.

I think every team should use two kits. It'll add up to the viewing experience. Instead of getting bored of seeing the same kits over and over again.
Also to differentiate between the teams. India, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka wear the same kits. Similarly, Pak, SAF and Ban. Every team should pick their secondary kits.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to change the design of the national team's World Cup jersey after the design of the two jerseys unveiled on Monday was squarely criticised by fans and media.

BCB's chief executive officer Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed The Daily Star this morning that the design will be changed.

The design for the away jersey is completely red, with a bit of green on the arms and in front. However, the home jersey is completely green, with red nowhere to be seen. This home jersey was the one which the players wore during the official photo session of the team on Monday. The all-green jersey created a lot of resentment among the fans on social media, with some likening it to Pakistan jerseys.

Following the uproar, BCB president Nazmul Hassan, on Monday night, told a TV channel that they would change the design of the home jersey. Nizamuddin confirmed this change today, saying, "There is no red on the home jersey. The new design will have red in it."

He also informed, "Initially the design had red in it. The team's name, Bangladesh, was in red. But ICC did not approve of it. There is probably a guideline of ICC that the team names will have to be in white colour. Now we will have to put the red colour somewhere else in the jersey."

The BCB CEO also informed that the jerseys that have already been put on sale in the market will be replaced by the new ones.

There you go - I knew from reliable sources that they’ll add red, but didn’t take chance.

Good to see that they are going with home & away concept, which I think is new in cricket - I shared the idea to someone long back, but finally it’s happening; though I am not sure if there is enough time left for this change. Almost every global brands outsource their knitwear orders to Bangladesh, so production isn’t any issue but the design & colour mix might not be that creative. And, there will be many sponsors’ logo on wherever it’s allowed.

I think, the away jersey will have more than few sheds of green. May not be 50-50, but no BD jersey can be complete without green on chest.

Would be nice if teams had 2 kits one of traditional colours and the other of non traditional colours or maybe like a different shade

I'd like to see something like this as an example

India home kit blue
India away kit orange

England home kit blue
England away kit red

New Zealand home kit black
New Zealand away kit Grey

Pakistan home kit green
Pakistan away kit black

Bangladesh home kit green
Bangladesh away kit red

West Indies home kit Maroon
West Indies away kit yellow

Australia home kit yellow
Australia away kit blue and red colour of their flag

Sri Lanka home kit blue
Sri Lanka away kit purple

South Africa home kit green
South Africa away kit pink

Afghanistan home kit blue
Afghanistan away kit silver

Why cricket teams are reluctant to gave two kits at same time. When in football almost all teams have two kits

Not all are reluctant. Bangladesh wore two kits in wt20 2016. South Africa and Sri Lanka did it in CT 2017. I believe England too have two kits (one blue and one plain red). Australia, New Zealand and Windies don't really need secondary kits as their colours are unique. It's only India and Pakistan who are reluctant.

Bangladesh has altered its World Cup cricket strip to add a touch of red following uproar over the initial design, which some had likened to rival Pakistan's kit, the cricket board said Wednesday.

The national flag of Bangladesh is red and green, but the Tigers' jersey unveiled Monday for the tournament starting later this month in England and Wales was green and white.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) spokesman Jalal Yunus said cricket's world governing body had originally asked it to drop the red colour due to "commercial complications", but relented following a subsequent request from the BCB.

"It made the jersey green and white. But people wanted a touch of red in the jersey. So we requested the ICC (International Cricket Council) again and they accepted our request," he told AFP.

The original design had featured the names of players and the word Bangladesh in red, Yunus noted.

Social media was awash with complaints after the strip was unveiled, with former BCB president Saber Hossain Chowdhury among those to criticise the original design.

"Red and green, our national flag colours, have always been reflected in jerseys of @BCBtigers over the years. So very sad this is no longer so," Chowdhury tweeted.

Many cricket fans saw a similarity with the jersey of Pakistan, from which Bangladesh became independent after a bloody war in 1971.

But BCB president Nazmul Hassan, also known as Papon, blasted the suggestion that the resemblance of Pakistan jersey prompted the swift change in design.

"Bangladesh is written on the jersey, how can you confuse it with Pakistan?" Nazmul asked reporters in a press conference on Tuesday.

"After seeing the Tigers' picture and BCB logo if someone thinks that it's not Bangladesh's jersey but Pakistan's then I think that person should stay in Pakistan," he said.

Bangladesh cricket team left home on Wednesday and will open their World Cup campaign against South Africa at the Oval on June 2.

First they will play a tri-national tournament in Ireland from May 5-17 along with fellow World Cup participants Ireland and the West Indies.

The World Cup begins on May 30.

Do you think Pakistan's kit will stay the same?

Why not just wait till the first WC match?

This is so poor marketing. What is the new guy Wasim Khan (?) doing in the Office. Whenever Pakistan play WC you mostly see fans with shirts of previous WC etc.
It will be in PCB own interest to release is way before WC and sell the shirts and make Money of it. Unbelievable.

Nice shirt, the colour combination with fine stripes makes it one of the best kits so far.

Definitely the best one is of Srl till now though I have high hopes from Eng (Them being home side, so should be something special) and I want to believe that Pak kit will also be a good one.

Best one so far. Would've been even better if they didn't have those yellow designs at the stomach area.

The 2019 Sri Lankan cricket world cup jersey is made out of recycled plastic waste in the ocean, the turtle represents the adverse effects of pollution to the marine life. Great work MAS holding ♥️

The home (first) kit looks good, but the alternative kit is bad. It looks too similar to the home kit (they should've gone full red for the shirt and perhaps pants).

Also. I've always wondered why Afghanistan's kit is blue. They don't have blue on their flag and think they don't have blue on their cricket logo plus India and Sri Lanka are already blue so red I would say red would be the best choice because the only team in this world cup who has a kit similar to red is West Indies (however their kit is maroon which is different)

Don’t understand why they are changing the trend with this World Cup and someone correct me if this has happened in a previous WC, but normally isn’t it the case that the kit is based on the same theme and design for all teams ?

Why is Pakistan so far behind the rest in everything?

It wouldn't be Pakistan if it wasn't bro

I do believe we are leading when it comes to episodes of cheating caught in the history of the game - anyone please kindly correct me if I'm wrong
