Reports indicate Mohammad Amir is still in Pakistan waiting for his visa to be issued.

Why are the families of players allowed on the tours

When Allan Border toured in 89' to ENG, AUS had lost 5 out of the last 6 series. He needed to change his team's mindset.

No wives, girlfriends, smiling at the other team, friendly chatter.

It was war and they won the Ashes, continuing an era of dominance that would extend for 16 years and 7 more series.

These guys are professionals and when you go to do a professional job you mostly don't take your family and rightly so

we are going to get thrashed by England

i hope amir is in the test squad

The players are with their families when they play at home so why not on away tours. Also, Pakistan never plays at home so it makes sense for them to bring their families along on away tours. As long as they understand their priorities and are professional about it I don't see anything wrong with this. Infact families can be a source of strength and prevent the players from staying up late to go clubbing at night.

Seem to be training at a local park rather than a cricket ground. See Abbas in the pics as well. Has he left his Leicester stint?

In the second last pic it looks as if they've just left a takeaway!:)):)) I would have thought they would be training in a more professional place then a local park.

Fakhar, Hasan, Shadab, Saad and Fahim have good body language. Others are so stiff and have terrible posture. Sarfaraz in particular is just embarrassing.

where are they training? I have a couple of days off and would love to go see them.

Some of these players seemed to be surgically attached to their phones. Someone tell them that all those females fans with priyanka chopra are not really priyanka. or that "afridi's princess" could really be a 400 pound man sitting in New Jersey

Canterbury I think is a university town. Quite a picturesque part of the country.

I wonder if Babar's legs start shaking when he tries to squat the bar.

I heard that the boys were looking for a Halal Nandos, hope they found one.

Nice that we arrived early. It gives us time to adapt to conditions. One advantage of our players not playing in the IPL.

MenInG, was there anyone who looked particularly good in the practice sessions or nets?
