A few reports coming that its not going to start at 6:45pm as advertised.

I am not really in favour of having opening ceremony for PSL especially when there are no international stars performing.

Where did they find this "host", such a cringy guy.

National Stadium Karachi, stage is set for PSL 2020:sarf

Can’t hear anything from the crowd. Don’t know whether they are quiet or if the audio isn’t picking them up. A bit of both maybe?

One of the worst I've seen. Must've been someone's parchi

Looks like PSL is a free mela for all the friends and relatives of 'powerful' people.

Pathetic.

The host in the 1st PSL was also a joke, this guy is beating him!

Terrible host and poor audio.

But the concept of displaying our culture is great.

I am not watching the ceremony but the negativity on here is unreal.

Their seem to be a lot of depressing people on this forum. How about looking at the glass half full rather than empty for once.

This is the first opening ceremony for the tournament in Pakistan, on top of that the whole tournament is being held in Pakistan. That is a reason to rejoice and feel positive about. Opening ceremonies should be taken with a pinch of salt. I remember USA 94. Nobody could hear Diana Ross singing !

We really need to cheer up as individuals and as a community. To much negativity is never good.

On that note " let the games begin".

Ceremony started around 6:45. We all were talking about the very first guy.

Unless there was someone who was on stage before I don't know then, but I heard a voice and knew it was Fakhr who was doing the voice over while they played.

Excellent post

Very good arrangement by PCB in a very short period and resources.

Crowd has been disappointing but it will improve with time.

Rumman Rais on big screen " Karachi talian to bajayo"
Dead silence in crowd:D

no clapping after song finish when Sajad Ali was expecting it  crowd is bad and also cannot see what is going on

Afridi on big screen "Karachi walo tyar ho"
Pink drop silence in crowd WTH
Karachi crowd trolling:D

something is wrong, i think they should have put Mic near crowd ... also no one can see a performer on stage ...its bad lighting on the stage.

PSL 4 Opening ceremony was lit as hell .... i cant understand whos behind this one.

its horrible lighting on the stage and on ground near it where dancers are, I cannot see properly from TV so for crowd it would be worst, Karachi failed again in management

its 8 pm. match is going to start at 9 pm. what the hell are they doing ? they are draging it.

Seems very disjointed - no continuity between acts

if people cant see it from tv screen at home thn how the hell crowd can see someone performing on stage .... Karachi didnt failed, it was total mismanagement.

@Ryw

told you its mismanagement and people are blaming karachites .... management played the dirty game with karachites to make sure next time it wont Open with Karachi.

Is there no channel to watch broadcast in Pakistan in High Definition?

Look at the lighting, Abrar cannot be seen running in ground  horrible

People wanted to watch cricket not this ** they are displaying. Fake lipsync, cringe worthy performances just to name few big flaws here.

Not sure what is the point of these pointless ceremonies. A waste of money and time.

finally somebody turn on the lights haha and then turn them off again

there are many of the sadists here.... they only growl and nothing else... dont know who told them its cool to bash their own country... in reality its pathatic

having said all that, i think PCB made a blunder of doing it in a stadium. the stadium looks decently full but the crowd can never be engaged on this big a venue.. should have done it in Al-Hamra open air theater (for people of lahore and pakistan will know what i mean... smaller place, crowd noise will be out of the roof)

but PCB will learn.. will take time.. but thts fine... its just the beginning for them... it will turn to improve

Agree producer or broadcaster s fault Crowd is there, producer messed up with mute button:)

This is the first major tournament in conservative Pakistan for a long time, give it time, what do you guys expect the crowd to do, run around topless shouting and screaming?
